Ravenclaw House Table

Recommended Posts

Tristan Blackwood

The boy was merely making noises, how dare he interrupt Tristan's scrumptious din- Quidditch? Quidditch! Tristan heard Quidditch! Dropping his fork abruptly onto his plate, making a startling loud noise he looked around hoping nobody had noticed. Swallowing his last spoonful he turned to the boy.

"I do play Quidditch!", he replied nearly bouncing in his seat. He brought an uncontrollable smile to his face with thinking of the upcoming season. He must look like a complete idiot. Calm, Tristan, calm.

"You thinkin' about signing up?", turning away from the kid, controlling his excitement. He looked down at his half finished plate and decided to stuff his face before he rambled on how Ravenclaw almost won the cup last year.

Adam M. Sorderstorm

Adam scanned the Ravenclaw table and it was all fill with…. ickles. Ickles here, ickles there, there were ickles everywhere!. His friends, were not where on the sight so he figured out he’d eat alone (luckily he had brought with him his latest issue of Quidditch Illustrated with him), at the rear end of the table and bark at any ickle that would dare disturb him. That was until he heard the magic word “Quidditch” and he couldn’t help looking down and see no other than Tristan Blackwood and an ickle talking about it.

As Adam had guessed, Tristan was too excited about it and looking for naïve ickle volunteers who next year will become fascist captains just to expand his realm of terror. Wasn’t enough with them?... oh right, there were open positions, for Char and Shan’s places.

“Oh don’t be modest” Adam said sitting next to Tristan and examining the food in the middle of the table to see what he wanted. “He, not only plays, he is our captain” he informed the ignorant ickle “Congrats, by the way… sir ” the fourth year finally made his mind up about food and filled his plate.

Tristan Blackwood

Awkward silence with ones younger than Tristan had not been on the menu (good because he was getting full). Tristan played with his food, pretending to still eat, at least to look a bit more occupied than he really was when a familiar face sat down beside Tristan, leaving him to sit directly in the middle of the two boys. JUST what he wanted today.

“Oh don’t be modest”, the boy said, “He, not only plays, he is our captain”

Tristan choked on..air, for he finished actually eating a bit ago. Reaching for a glass of something to revive him, his face turned shades of reds as he hands sweat up, leaving him to hide them under the table. Yes, he was modest. No, he hadn't planned on boasting his captainship during the Sorting Ceremony. Tristan slightly nodded his head, which may or may not have been visible to the two next to him.

Sitting in silence, he waited for one of them to relieve the awkwardness from his situation, or make it worse.

Sir Connor O'Malley

Sir Connor felt truly sorry for any house that wasn't Ravenclaw, because, as he said every year, "No other house can compete with the smartest students in the school." They had won the house cup more times than he could remember simply on brains alone.

He floated up and down the table, greeting older students, and trying to greet the new ones. They simply looked up at him wide eyed, as if he would eat them if they said anything to him. He tried to give them a friendly smile, and doffed his hat occasionally at a young lady. Chivalry existed only when one well versed in the code chose to exemplify it, as he did.

"Ah Madame Prefect," he said, nodding at the young lady sporting the badge. "You are looking well tonight. And Mr. Sorderstorm, it is good to see that you have taken a break from torturing the young women of your house in the corridors. I will look upon that very poorly if I see you have taken that sport up again." He moved down the table again, waving greetings and trying not to look sad at the prospect of yet another feast that he could not eat at.

Nicholas J Hamblin

At a very noisy moment, a young gryffindor at the far end of the room(see here) stood on his bench, a nice and juicy steak and kidney pie in hand. "I have an announcement!" he called and the noise level abated slightly. "This school's greatest food fight is about to start. Heads up!" He then lobbed the pie in a high arc to the far side of the room.

It was headed right for the Ravenclaw table! and was it going to make a mushy splat when it hit!

Kyra Mystsong

Ravenclaw! Oh, wonderful. That was just what she wanted. Kyra went to the table to sit down, and really hoped her brother would get it too. Then she heard Lehrin's name, since L came after K. She waited with her nails embedded in her palm, her teeth worrying her lower lip. And Lehrin was in... Ravenclaw! That was wonderful. Her and her brother would be in the same house. Maybe they would be closer, but she never knew. He was a picky person when it came to things, especially family. He didn't care much about them, but he and and Kyra had been completely different than their parents. Kyra waved for Lehrin, hoping he would sit near her, so they could talk. They hadn't sat with each other on the train, and she wanted to know how the ride was for him. Food appeared on the table and she started to eat, extremely hungry tonight, since she'd only had a small snack on the train.

Lehrin Mystsong

Lehrin was amazed. He always knew that he was smart, but that smart? He was in Ravenclaw now. He charged over to the table and sat down, surrounded by his new family. He had completely forgotten that his sister, who was sorted just before him, was even in the school, much less the same house. He found a seat and and soon as everyone had been sorted began to eat.

The boy was starving. He didn't buy anything on the train, so he hadn't eaten anything at all. He began grabbing all kinds of amazing food that just appeared on the plates before him. Turkey, chicken, mashed potatoes, soups, and even quiche where among the multitudes of foods that he had managed to stuff down him. He was so full that he could barely get anything else in him, but when desert appeared, he continued his feast. It was like he could never eat enough, and he had an entire year of this before he would be going home. It was going to be amazing. Well the food was anyway.

Without realizing it, Lehrin'd set down directly across from his sister. How amusing. He looked up after his face was stuffed with ice cream and pastries and tarts and saw her. Oh boy. She saw him pigging out. Well she was doing the same thing, so it didn't matter. He smiled at her and waved.

"Hey, sis!" he exclaimed, and went back to his bowl of ice cream.

Kyra Mystsong

Kyra laughed.

"Lehrin, you act as if you were never fed before. I can't say much though, I'm eating quite alot myself. How was the train ride dear?"

Kyra asked him as she looked at the splat from the steak and kidney pie that had landed near her. She picked up a treacle tart and ate it, enjoying it until she noticed other deserts she'd never seen before, and then she started eating and trying them. This was wonderful. She wondered about all the people near her, and tapped the one closest to her that she didn't know.

"I'm Kyra Mystsong, who are you?"

She asked the person, wondering what year they were too.

YAY First Years.

The sorting...it was always so much fun, seeing the new kids, knowing that with every group sorted you are closer and closer to being a seventh year and then an adult.

She grinned at the thought as newly sorted Ravenclaws took their seats at the table of the eagles.

And then...and then FINALLY there was food. She had tried to attempt to go vegitarian that summer...and then the meat called to her. So as soon as there was meat within her reach she had started filling her plate.

Mmmmmm Meat!

Then someone tapped her on the shoulder and asked for a name.

Mariame swallowed and wiped her hand on a napkin. "Mariame Mycaster, Fourth Year. Nice to meet you."

Emma Silk

"Mmm food" Emma said gleefully as she started scooping up mashed potatoes and chicken on her plate. She was starving; she barely ate anything before she left her home because she was so nervous. She can still hear her father telling her that if she didn't eat anything it would make it worse. Technically he was right but she still didn't want to risk throwing up in front of everyone at the sorting ceremony.

She dug into her hug plate of food and gobbled it all up like a monster. Some of the other first years started staring so she politely excused herself and patted her face making sure there was no left over's.

Kyra Mystsong

"Hi Mariame! I hope we can be friends."

Kyra was in a very cheerful mood tonight. She didn't know if it was the atmosphere, the food, or just the prospect of enhancing her learning that had her smiling so big, but she was. She enjoyed the food greatly, and was glad that she was there, and was glad that her brother was with her, and was glad that they weren't home, and was just glad, period.

Kyra had high hopes for the future, and looking around her, she had a feeling they would all be met by this wondrous fairy tale castle. She sighed peacefully as she ate another bite of her food.

Aries Kailani

"Ravenclaw!"

Aries jump up from the stool, he handed the hat off, and headed to his house table. Sitting down in the first open, he grinned and nodded towards his new housemate. He really could not wait to write home and tell his parents. Waiting for the food to appear, once it did appear he dug in.

"Hello." he said to his new house mates.

Venice Devereaux

Venice sat silently at the far end of the ravenclaw table, looking around as the sorting continued. It was rather odd to be watching the new ickles of the castle, time seemed to have gone by in a hurry and here she is, back as a second year. The blonde girl linked her hands together as a tiny dark-haired girl was pronounced a slytherin and a small reminiscent smile played across her face. She never really liked that house much and did not remember having friends there either. Then again, she did not have the chance to go around and socialize being the shy entity that she was. Besides, school work has kept her very busy.

Tapping her fingers absently on the table, Venice sighed and glanced around, looking for any of her friends... there seemed to be no one she knew.. then again she really did not know that much. Le sigh. She really should start interacting with things that arent books and parchment.

A newly sorted ickle suddenly sat beside her and said hello. Glad for some company, Venice smiled back.

"Hi! Welcome to ravenclaw"

A new year, a new crowd. It was fun, as usual, to watch the sorting, Everytime she watched it she remembered her own, and how scary it was, being the so small in a world of magic, but it was fun, the very moment that the hat called out Ravenclaw. From what she had read she would fit into almost any house but the hat chose Ravenclaw. So off she went to the table of the Eagles...

Memories, they were so beautiful.

Anyway, her sister was being sorted this year. Anibelle, that #####... it was interesting watching her walk up to the platform as if she knew just where she would be placed. As the hat rested on her head, she looked calm, and as soon as Slytherin was announced to the hall she removed the hat and gave a smile.

There was amazing cheering from the Slytherin table, but Mari cheered as well.

~~~
With the sorting over, the plates suddenly filled and the feast began.
Eriya Hacket
After being sorted, sitting down quietly - almost unnoticeable, cheering now and then for more sorted students, Eriya began to wish the Sorting Hat would hurry up. True, she was excited to be sorted and all but after the apprehension has gone, Eriya started to feel hunger building up inside her. She tried her best to look excited, although she still was as she had felt earlier - just diminished a bit. Not one to be killjoy, Eri cheered along everytime a new addition like herself sat down with th rest at the Ravenclaw table.
Then the last student went and put on the hat. After a few seconds, the Slytherin table erupted so Eri figured the girl must have been sorted there. Finally!, she can't help but think as the plates began to fill with food. She picked up some of each infront of her, eager to taste every delicacy prepared by the kitchen helps. She remembered dimly what her brother said about house elves working at the Hogwarts kitchen.
After a few bites and listening to people sitting around her, Eri felt it was high time to make her presence known just so she could join in on their conversations. She was a first year after all, and what better year to start making friends than the first. She turned to the Ravenclaw to her left and tried, "Er- Hi! I'm Eri. Eriya Hacket.", she felt it polite to state her full name even though she'd always been siding with just 'Eri'.
Feige Jarkeni
Feige Jarkeni had mixed feelings about the Sorting Ceremony that year.
First, it was the first time she would be experiencing the Sorting Ceremony without getting sorted herself. She was excited for this; it was a new experience, a new perspective, a bunch of new faces. And for once, she wasn't at the bottom of the food chain. Hekate Cronus would still be after her in Quidditch, but she wouldn't be at the bottom anymore. (With this thought, Feige stole a glance over at the Slytherin table and spotted the shiny new Head Girl badge on the Cronus girl's chest...and was suddenly afraid. Very afraid.)
It also meant a bunch of new firsties to corrupt with her own still-developping evil-genius-in-training mind. (And to use in her vengeance against Hekate.)
However. It also meant new girls--new first-year girls to corrupt the common room with their packs and their giggles and their outrageous chatter about boys. Ugh. Did they really not have anything better to do with their time? Problematically, one of said evil female offenders who was obviously the stereotypical girl with the pathetic girly features introduced herself as "Airree. Aireeya Hacket." Well, really, who named his or her child "Aireeya?" It was like naming the child after air. And as much as Feige loved air, this girl didn't deserve to be named after it. So, Feige scowled a little bit. The poor girl would not be getting any pity from the Feigeface.
"Feige Jarkeni," she said snidely, automatically hating the girl merely because of her girlness. She didn't wait for a reaction and went back to eating her food.
Eriya Hacket
It was immediately apparent to Eri that her first try at making friends didn't go as well as she would have liked. The girl scowled at her! - almost instantly from the moment she had lain eyes on Eri. The girl stated her name then turned her back on Eri, obviously not wanting to converse with her. Not one to be easily intimidated, Eri remembered her agreement with Jillian, a new Gryffindor, and resolved to fulfill it.
Feige Jarkeni. It sounded foreign so she had to play with the word to loosen her tongue. Eventually, she had to say it aloud just to make sure. "Fidge Jarkenny?" No, that didn't sound right. She then tried again, her voice lower now just in case the girl heard - it could only make her hate Eri more. "Fudge Jarkeni?" Almost. But not quite.
And finally, "Feige Jarkeni." Then, turning back to the antisocial beside her, "Feige Jarkeni right? Just wanted to make sure I got it right." Eri tried to smile despite the girl's unexcusable attitude but found she couldn't. In her mind, Eri thought Feige still had to deserve a genuine smile from her. After all, she wasn't one to cower from overconfident upperclassmen.
Mrs Norris
This was the beginning of madness. Mrs. Norris recognized the annual feast that started off the entire year when the midgets ran rampant through the corridors. They were always causing trouble around castle. ALWAYS. They never failed her expectation to make more work for her and consequently require her presence as they paid their dues. Silly, stupid creatures they were. They weren't nice to her, so she wasn't nice to them.
Normally, the cat sat at the back of the Great Hall with her pet, Argus, someitmes being carried snugly in his arms, sometimes walking alongside him. At least with this feast, all the pinkskins were in the same place. They were invariably ugly, without fur. Apprenlty even they thought so, as they covered themselves with the soft material that seemed to be a poor attempt to imitate fur. Well, ugly except for her pet. He was purrdier than the rest, although nowhere as beautiful as herself.
Mrs. Norris could just imagine all the chaos the mini two-leggers were going to cause. Pranks and explosions. Messes and fights. Stepping on her tail. She shuddered at that last though. Inconsiderate fools. She show them Pre-emptive punishment! The cat slowly got up from her position and began stalking down the aisle, swatting at feet and robes. She would have loved to use her claws, which she kept in a wonderfully sharp condition, but she didn't think her pet's master would really appreciate that. *growl*
Ariana, sitting at the table awkwardly after being Srted, noticed something stalking down the aisle.
A cat! Ariana smiled at the feline and held out her hand.
"Hello..." she said to the cat. Cats were a sort of form of contentment for her.
Cadence Atwood
Cadence was sat close enough to Feige to hear her, and close enough to the ickle to see her face. She smirked as Feige spoke to the little kid that was not much smaller than Cadence.
"Well now Feige, something must've happened to you over the summer, because last year, you wouldn't even give out your name."
Turning to the ickle, she smiled warmly.
"Don't worry about her Eriya, and welcome to Ravenclaw. Feige here is our resident cowbag, the rest of us are much nicer."
She reached forward and piled sprouts, spinach and parsnip onto her plate before adding a small roast potato and a tiny bit of beef. She loved her veg, and the sorting feast always had masses so she could indulge her passion without any qualms.
She was quite excited this year. She was no longer an ickle, and she knew her way around the castle. She also knew what to expect from classes, well, she knew as much as any other second year, bearing in mind that lessons at Hogwarts were often unexpected.
Mrs Norris was ambling along under the table swatting at people's legs. Why did she have to come to Ravenclaw? Couldn't she have gone to Slytherin where they deserved to be attacked. Well, some of them did anyway. She looked over at the Ravenclaw table and saw Ana tucking in. Momentarily, she felt a little sad. All her friends seemed to be in the other houses, and here she was, stuck with Feige. She was a true Ravvie, heart and soul, she just wished she had a friend in her house in her year.
Ruby Flame
After the Hat said announced its decision, Ruby jumped off of the stall with glee and ran over to the Ravenclaw table. But Cam wasn't in Ravenclaw with her...he'd gone to Hufflepuff instead...
She covered her sorrow with her feeling of ecstasy at joining the house she'd hoped for, anf she sat down between two people who looked like first years.
She turned to the boy on her right and said, nervously,
"Hi-I'm Ruby, Ruby Flame...I'm so glad I got Ravenclaw!"
She'd never been good with people. But at least she was trying to fit in. Would she be alone, now that her best friend had been seperated from her?
Nick Bromsen
Nick was dazed as students at the Ravenclaw table started clapping and cheering. Some students at the Ravenclaw table yelled, "Hooray! Another Ravenclaw. Over here!"
Did the hat just said Ravenclaw? Nick thought with a surprised but gleeful look on his face as he made his way towards the table. Before he boarded the train, his younger brother said perhaps the hat would say he can't be sorted and send him back home. Since neither one of them actually knew anything about the sorting he shouldn't have become worried about it but he was afraid. Whew, no more jokes from Lucas about not being sorted, he thought.
"Hello, I'm Nick Bromsen. Nice to meet you all", he introduced himself to the other Ravenclaws at the table. He turned to the girl who had introduced herself as Ruby Flame, "Hi Ruby, nice to meet you too. I hope we can become friends."
Upon seeing a lot of food on the table, Nick realised he had not eaten much since breakfast which was a long time ago. He put a lot of mashed potatoes and green peas, some fried chicken nuggets and a piece of salisbury steak onto his plate, poured himself a glass of pumpkin juice and ate ravenously.
Mrs Norris
Mrs. Norris had been happily moving forward with purpose when her path was suddenly blocked by a hand? What was the mdiget saying to her? She didn't actually expect her to sniff the hand did she? The creature was blimely joking! There was no way she would stoop to the level of sniffing their dirty smelly hands! She could smell them from where she was stalking without them sticking it out for her, thank you very much!
It was very tempting to to brandish her claws at this point, but she had to keep her moodiness in check. Master would be unhappy if he got in trouble with the top dog cat of the castle. Well, she did have another option...bit the hand. After all, it wasn't the one that fed her, just one that made her miserable. But that wouldn't work either. She would have to settle with simply ignoring the offending hand. Mrs. Norris gave the midget a loud, nasty hiss and moved on.
Eriya Hacket
Eri felt a bit - how should she put it? disappointed? embarrassed? - confused (yep, that's the word). She really had no idea what was with the girl to dislike her that much already. It just didn't seem at all possible! Then another voice joined in, sounding more warm and friendly.
"Well now Feige, something must've happened to you over the summer, because last year, you wouldn't even give out your name."
Eri stiffled a chuckle - a giggle would just be insufficient. So the girl, Feige, was always like this and she had nothing to do with it. Although being the first ickle to feel the girl's rashness was not at all pleasant. Still, as one of the newly sorted, Eri thought it reckless to keep the girl as an enemy. Maybe she'd warm up to her in time.
"I could see that now.", grinned Eri. Everyone else around the table were all smiles and nice to her fellow first years - it was just her bad luck to sit next to Feige. "Thanks though. And since you already know my name, I think you should tell me yours too."
Feige Jarkeni
Feige rolled her eyes at Cadence, feeling claustrophobic by all the estrogen around her already. She could practically smell the perfumes that were bound to fog up the girls' dormitories in no time, and at that, the tiny girl wrinkled her button-nose in disgust. This girl was making friends with Cadence already? Feige grumbled at Cadence's comment about giving out her name--what did she know, the Hitler-rabbit-loving twit?! Besides...
"I'm not the only cowbag in the house, Atwood."
No first names for the other cowbag. HELL no. "And since you know my name, I think you should tell me yours, too." What was this, a name-learning-fest? Ugh. All the "OMGHAINICETOMEETYOUI'MSAMMYWHAT'SYOURNAME"s going on around her was going to make her puke someday. Granted, Feige was a curious first-year only a year previous. However. She most certainly did not go around simply asking--no, begging--for friends! She had her dignity, thanks!
With that thought in mind, the tiny second-year Asian witch who had grown a good two inches over the summer (and was now standing sitting officially at 4'5") sniffed as she turned away from them and dug irritatedly into her pie.
((Apologies for the wait! :D))
