VH40 Slytherin House Stands

[[VH40]]

Rising above the grass of the Quidditch Pitch were several towers of bleachers for supporters of the House Quidditch Teams.

One stood tall and strikingly bold in colors of green and silver with snakes slithering across the banners that proudly waved from its rafters. Each game, the seats were filled with the witty, cunning and aggressive of Hogwarts' population. They waved their scarves, banners and assorted supportive goods.

It was the Slytherin stands.

Edward Borage

Edward might have worn his House colours but this game was proving a test of his loyalties; @Fenella Campbell had saved his life when she hauled his sorry carcass from the lake and @Josie Potter had stood up with him against Phillip at the PAW meeting and they deserved his cheering for them because #friends! With that in mind, and since Hufflepuff took off with quite a bang, Edward yelled his encouragement, “Go Fenella! Go Josie!”

Of course it went without saying that he’d also be cheering his team just as loudly when they scored a goal or pulled off an amazing move but not right now.

Fenella Campbell

A voice had caught her attention – someone was cheering on Fenella but their shouting had not come from the Hufflepuff stands. It took her a moment to realise that it was @Edward Borage, way up in the Slytherin stands! Oh boy if he wasn’t careful he’d get himself in to trouble for cheering her and Josie on while his team was playing them. But then again, Edward didn’t ever seem to do what you predicted he would do.

“Hey Borage! Don’t be saying anything about how hot I look or calling me pet, ok? I’ll get those guys with the bats to send a cannon ball your way if you even think about it!”

She couldn’t be mad at him though, not when he was so used to getting himself into silly messes and somehow she managed to get him out of them. She gave him a smile and wink and zoomed off again, glad for the support from her friend.

Willa Henry

Willa was a staple at Quidditch games, which was ironic because she was never going to be good enough to make the team, no matter how many of @Zachary Montague's drills she had tagged along to (read: been his buddy when the buddy system had been enforced). But she had enough friends on the team, or people that she considered to be friends regardless of what they thought, so she was dutifully bundled up and standing at the front row of the stands.

A short girl had to thrown some elbows if she wanted to see.

"Way to go, Hen!" Willa cupped her hands around her mouth, hoping that @Honorine Nott could hear her over the roar of the rest of the school. Being co-mentors meant that she was going to cheer for the older girl, even if Willa was still terrified that Hen was plotting her disappearance somehow. "Oi, @Robbie Curtis, don't get distracted cheering!"

Willa may have been proud that her mentee was the only first year playing over several older students she would have thought would be up there, but it didn't mean she was going to go easy on him. The Slytherin even cheered loudly every time @Dale McQueen-Trengrove blocked one of Hufflepuff's shots, but normal between them still felt weird. Her friends were lucky that she was so supportive too, because she was shivering with two coats on and did not enjoy the numb state of her nose.

Pali Dotchev

Pali didn't really do Quidditch. She had commentated last year but her attention span was wholly too poor to actually sit and watch a full game, or follow along with what was going on really. She had played the role of commentator last year, but really she had been no good at it and it probably would have been better to have no commentator at all. Instead of keeping up with the game and saying what was going on, she had made remarks on her friends and given advice to them that wasn't even really needed.

Though today her friends were playing and that was too exciting to stay away from.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast of coco pops, toast with nutella and hot chocolate, she was ready to finally descend from the castle and meet Willa like she said she would. Willa had been there from the beginning of the game, her friend was fashionably late and trundled down when it suited her. Taking a seat on the bench beside Willa, Pali grinned "Who's Winning?"

Pushing a paper cup of hot chocolate laced with pepper up potion towards Willa, she set her own on the bench beside her and fiddled with her scarf. It wasn't sitting right and it was annoying her. But at least she was wearing it, even if it did clash with the totally out of place old Durmstrang  jersey she wore over her coat. It was her Papa's. Vintage.  She loved it and wore it every chance she got. It was all Quidditch after all wasn't it.

Reaching for her cup again she clutched it tightly for warmth "GO HEN!" Then she paused, she should be cheering for all of her friends really "ER......GO EVERYONE"
