Minister Granger-Weasley

Your First Day With Minister Granger-Weasley

Recommended Posts

Julian Trice

He couldn’t bloody believe his bad luck. And when he’d been trying to do someone a solid at that! But now he was here and trapped, which would have been awful on its own. But there was some child who drew heads by offering him a place next to her in the crude semi-circle and Julian knew if he told her to piss off like he wanted to,  that he’d be sacked right then and there. Spectacularly and with extreme possible ball kicking prejudice.

Instead, he froze eyes going wide and darting round the room to focus on anything but being invited to kum ba yah it up with children  who he knew from experience would smite his short hairs to ash if given half the chance. Plus, his son was there and he’d already put it in his head that there were some things your first born didn’t need to see you do.

This was one of those things.

Thank flack for Grangers sharp eyes and even sharper tone, because she’d just called out a man and Ju was all over it, bowing out as gracefully as he could to @Josie Potter before side stepping her hand to hustle @Professor Santiago away from the guards and the only commonly known exit. 😏

“I've got this one.” He called to his colleague his voice a little sharp as he clapped Santiago on the shoulder. "Just look down trodden and wave." he muttered out the side of his mouth.

Miss Turner

Miss Turner was very stressed out with all of the commotion. This was why she was a librarian and not an auror.

Prince A. Charming

Atticus didn't know what this was about. He didn't really care to know, either. He just wanted to do something else. "It's probably about the anniversary or... us werewolves." The issues at Hogwarts had to have reached the Minister's ears. He looked at @Willa Henry and shrugged.

Wyatt Lazarus

Ooops?

Wyatt blushed slightly as the detenator went off. He had been about to try and locate it when the device was blasted. The seventh year opened his mouth to shout about personal property - then he closed it once more. He couldn't shout at the minister for magic... it would be school suicide. Instead, he made a mental note to purchase another, and thanked merlin that his portable swamp did not set off instead.

Anderson Potter

He was glad to see that his great-aunt was holding her own. She was always strong and able to take whatever came her way. But, still, he worried about her. He just wanted her to be okay. He turned to @Aggie Price since he had gone to stand near her and said, "You need to stop fangirling." He gave her a smirk and then looked around the room. Hopefully nothing major would happen.

Ralph Digby Hamilton

Ralph grinned briefly as Harmony acknowledged that this woman was in fact her amazing grandmother who could, like, control magic with her mind or whatever. She was powerful and important and that was all the Hufflepuff really cared about, at least until he noticed one of the Aurors attending to her safety and immediately recognized the man from the worst night of many students’ lives.

What Ralph meant to say as he pointed at @Julian Trice was ‘That’s the man who tortured one of the wolves that looked like my dog! Why is he allowed in here?!’

Unfortunately, what Ralph actually yelled rather accusingly as tears began to roll down his cheeks was “Hey! That’s the man who tortured my dog! Why did he come HERE?!”

Jacquetta Rosewood

Jacquetta was upset that the food was gone. She stood in the circle and hoped that food would be involved in whatever the activity was going to be.

Aleksander Dracel-Cortes

This was not how Aleks expected his first day of school to go down. When the news of Minister Granger-Weasley's arrival had spread through the feast, Aleks felt unsettled by it. For the last few months, all he'd heard at home were arguments about how it was a bad idea to be sent to Hogwarts. His grandmother held no faith in the Ministry and Nana Darcie's opinion of the ministry was even lower than Grandmum Lian's. It didn't stop him from dressing in his finest school robes (albeit all his robes were new, kthnx) and fussing with his tie until he felt it was acceptable. Now at the great hall, he was... underwhelmed. Once everything and everyone had spread out, Aleks fell in line with the rest.

"Did he just really try this?"- He said of @Professor Santiago while trying to maintain a modicum of decorum and not burst out laughing.

Margarita Mendelssohn

Margarita looked around at the circle of students and became extremely alert to the fact this could only end badly. “Do you know why she’s here?” Looking up to her aunt, across to the Minister, then back to Maureen, Margarita waited for the inevitable fallout. It came much swifter than expected. "He tortured your dog?!?" Throw him in Azkaban.

Professor Santiago

His knee jerk reaction to hearing a loud bang? It was to throw himself on the floor. WAS @Minister Granger-Weasley SHOOTING AT HIM?

After a few seconds, the Argetinian former pirate realized it was nothing more than a toy detonator and that he had overreacted. But the embarrassment of that reaction was nothing compared to when she called him out in front of the whole school, instructing them to look at him. A sheepish smile combined with a beet red blush painted Mateo's face at the whole scene. "Err, yeah, watched out for that Fitz Featherstone. Such bad behavior," he laughed awkwardly, gesturing to his colleague @Professor Featherstone before attempting to dive out of the spotlight.

Instead, his success was squashed as an auror stepped to him and grabbed him by the shoulder. As the guy whispered to him, Mateo wondered if this was really someone he could trust. Was he trying to help? Or did he know about the skeletons in Mateo's closet and was about to arrest him? He was about to put a small ounce of trust in this Auror until a student shouted out about how he tortured his dog. "Mate," Mateo began, freeing his shoulder from the man's grip. "That's not cool."

Also, u suk @Professor Mendelssohn. :c

Harmony Granger-Weasley

Harmony attempted to signal to Ralph from her spot in the circle that what he was intending to say probably didn't come out the way he expected it to.

Julian Pritchard

Julian gave a nervous grin at @Ollie Celeste's words. He wasn't really in awe himself. Though he had a decent chunk of admiration for what their minister had done in her youth, he'd come to the magical world late enough that he saw her mostly as a politician. Much like Ollie, he had questions, and he didn't like that they were wasting their time with trust circles or whatever this was. The fact that their minister was now standing in a circle with them, instead of standing over them wasn't going to make them forget that she was the minister. Also, why had she locked them in?

At least they wouldn't have to hold hands.

What in the world was going on with Professor Santiago, though?

Ollie Celeste

Having managed to be serious for like five whole minutes (a new record!) distraction came in the form of absolute madman @Professor Santiago. “Yo dude, did one of your potions backfire ‘cause…” she trailed off because there were no words for what was happening with the man. “Please don’t get fired I love your class!” She called at his departing back.

Salomé Schiferli

Salomé looked over at @Ralph Digby Hamilton a bewildered look on her face. Dropping her bacon, she eyed @Julian Trice and looked back at Ralph. "How did he torment your dog?" She asked before frowning."Oi. Why do you torment people's dogs? Is that what Auror do now!?" She demanded.

Aggie Price

"I'm not fangirling....  Okay, well maybe just a little but your aunt has done so much for so many," Aggie replied to @Anderson Potter.  "I just hope that one day I can accomplish a third of......."

Aggie's words were interrupted by Ralph's shout.  She eyed the auror her good eye (her other eye was still rather bruised and swollen).

Aster Darling

Aster was eating when @Minister Granger-Weasley arrived. The tiny Gryffindor stood on her seat to get a better look when she heard about a dog.

Hopping off her seat she stormed over to @Julian Trice. "Hey you. Not so big man. Why are you hurting dogs. Huh? Huh???"

Amelia Martin

Okay, so @Minister Granger-Weasley was seriously cool. Amelia looked on enviously, as the woman just straight up destroyed the detonator. Wow, she mouthed.

"Um, what's wrong with Professor Santiago?" Amelia whispered to the person next to her, who just so happened to still be @Samantha Grier. "That's some serious suspicious behavior. What if he's working for the werewolves," she continued, not knowing the effect her words might have on the girl beside her.

"Animal cruelty is a sin!" she echoed after Aster's confrontation.

Sorry, @Minister Granger-Weasley. I thought that rule was just for the first post. I'll be good now. :3

Silvia Banagher

Merlin, this was a mess.

It was just like she remembered, frankly. Students at Hogwarts could get incensed over just about anything. (Her breaking up with her boyfriend in seventh year had become the entire school’s business after all).

So when students began to clamor for justice for a dog, Silvia wrinkled her nose. She cleared her throat.

”SILENCE!”

”That student was not referring to an actual dog. He was referring to a werewolf. And in this case, young man, I would like you to know that that individual was very much not your dog.

”The next person to yell about justice for an imaginary dog will serve as target practice for my apparition students,” Silvia added, glaring at the crowd of students in the Hall.

Oliver Strausser

Circle be darned, and his fallen toast be forgotten. Once the loud noise from the decoy detonator started, he ducked behind the first taller student that he saw. He muttered a "Sorry, just nervous" to them, but decided to stay in his position using them as a buffer as threats for them being "target practice" were uttered.

Being the target did not sound fun. Or safe.

Ellery Orr

Ellery had definitely been here this entire time eating breakfast, yup. When everyone was asked to stand up, she did so as instructed, until she noticed that many of her housemates were still sitting down. Not wanting to do something silly, she sat down again; after all, they had to be right, right?

Wrong. This sitting only lasted for a moment until they all were requested specifically a second time to stand up. Exasperated by this terrible game of Simon Says, Ellery dragged herself to her feet and joined the circle.

"...Who is that?" she inquired not-quietly  not knowing what a Minister of Magic was. All Ellery knew is that she must be important to be conducting such a large game of Simon Says with that kind of authority. Walking forward to join the circle, she felt her foot slide as her Mary Janes skidded on a piece of rogue buttery toast on the floor (@Oliver Strausser) and broke the proclaimed request for "SILENCE!" with a squeal as her arms windmilled to keep upright.

Alyssa Hoofer

Alyssa had long ago gotten used to having the famous family at Hogwarts, after all, it seemed there was either a Potter or Weasley there every year, but this was something else. She was a prefect! Was she supposed to do something special? Should they have had some kind of gift for her? She was ready to jump up when a detonator went off, but there was no need for it.  Minister Granger-Weasley was there in the same room as her, and all she could do was stare. She glanced around at the rest of the prefects seeing that they weren't doing much either, which helped her relax. She wondered if her mother had ever talked to the Minister before.

Jaxon Sinclair

It was no small secret that Jaxon Sinclair was not the Minister's biggest fan.  In fact, it was safe to say that his entire nuclear family was very much anti-Granger-Weasley at this point.  Jack imagined that having a child turned into a werewolf while under the protection of the aforementioned Minister and then being suspended from employment for voicing dissatisfaction over said child being turned into a werewolf had a way of dividing politics.  Jack's parents had supported the Minister up to the point that he'd been mauled and infected with lycanthropy.

Frowning, he cast a glance at @Adam Sinclair and got up from his seat to join his brother.  "Don't worry.  They're much more likely to kill me than to kill you.  After all, they had full sanction to kill and torture my kind before.  Why not now?"  He crossed his arms, still steadfastly beside Adam, but searching the crowd for @Adrina Althaus-Valerio or @Ryszard Althaus-Valerio.  They were likely as unhappy about this development as him.

"I'm sure standing in a circle like a bunch of Girl Scouts is going to cure lycanthropy and make everyone forget that she sanctioned torture and murder and inspired bigots everywhere."

Nathaniel Frost

”She totally is,” he said to@Adam Sinclair, as they were all led into...a circle...or something.

...

”Is she preparing us for another attack?” That seemed like the more likely course of action, and Nate looked up suspiciously when Adam’s brother, @Jaxon Sinclair, joined them. “Maybe first it was just werewolves and now it’s everyone.”

Dun dun dun.

Pali Dotchev

Pali has definitely been there this whole time despite the fact her puppeteer has been in work, glittery wellies, new sleek/shiny hair and all.

Not quite sure what was going on she stood alone in her spot, rolling from her heels to her tip toes over and over, hoping she’d figure out what was going on soon. Or find someone to talk to.

Samantha Grier

Samantha was so focused on the chaos ensuing before her and trying to squelch her desire to run--not that it would do any good since she was locked in the Great Hall with all of these crazed lunatics. This had to be illegal. Unlawfully holding minors against their will is illegal, right? She almost didn't notice when@Amelia Martin spoke to her. She looked in the direction she was pointing to @Professor Santiago and had to, for once, agree with the girl Slytherin. He was acting suspiciously.

What if he was working for the werewolves?

She certainly hoped that wasn't true. They could, you know, 'forget' to give them their potions that kept them from turning. Then all of the students would turn. Sammy didn't want to be a werewolf! "I've had quite enough I think. I want to go to bed and then go straight off to home tomorrow," she stated her opinion much louder than she intended. Hopefully @Minister Granger-Weasley wouldn't have heard her and think she's being suspicious as well. She didn't want to go to Azkaban. She just wanted to be home, riding Lady MacBeth bareback through the open fields of her farm.
