Davis Turlough

To say the holidays were tense would be the understatement of the century.  @Alexandria Turlough and @Creylen Turlough had almost kept their children from returning to the school, but thankfully had acquiesced.  This time, at least.  While he hadn't seen or heard the actual discussions involved, there had been enough pointed questions that it was obvious what his parents had been considering. In the end, the compromise was that each of them would carry two-way mirrors with them at all times in case of an emergency and Davis thoroughly hated that new object weighing his pocket down.

On the other hand, he absolutely loved the other item he received over the holidays.  It was what was bringing him outside in January.  Granted, it was a warm day, relatively speaking, but he still had his cloak and scarf on and was grateful for the warming charms on his new camera to keep it working right.  Now all he needed to do was find the right subjects.

Stopping as he neared the lake, he raised the camera to his eye to form a nice shot.  He was hoping that if he took pictures showing how calm the school was most of the time, maybe his mum wouldn't be so worried about them.  Though, as someone entered his shot, he forgot all about that goal and instead called out to them, "Strike a pose, Lady Pandora!"  Waving the camera in the air, he grinned before putting it back to his eye, ready to take a picture of @Pandora Midnight.

Pandora Midnight

Being back on the school grounds felt odd. Like she wasn't suppose to really be there. It felt stifling inside. Everyone was whispering and glancing about shifty eyed and there was no doubt that so many were focused on the broadcast they must have heard over the break. The news of the student werewolves was out in the world. It was possible that most of it was in Pandora's mind but being around everyone right now made her heart ache. That was why she ended up outside, despite the cold, and out by the lake.

It was so peaceful out here. For the first time since the incident, Pandora felt calm. There was no one out here to point, jeer, or whisper. Except, being alone with her thoughts always led back to the guilt she felt for scarring @Lindy Rose and @Robin Corelli-Rose. Their kindness from the holidays somehow made these quiet moments alone worse for her own mind. Too bad it wasn't possible to escape your own thoughts.

Hearing someone call out her name was so shocking. Pandora spun around to see Davis waving a camera around like a madman. It brought a demure smile to her face. He called her a lady again. They had hardly ever really spoken in the past two and a half years of school together...but they had shared a kiss. If her cheeks weren't already red from the chill in the air, she would have been blushing from the memory. But wait...did he mean to take a picture of her? No one had ever taken a photo of just her before. And what did he mean by 'strike a pose'? What was she suppose to do. The smile on her face froze with the rest of her, as her thoughts spiraled out on control in a different direction.
