Headmistress McGonagall

The Sorting Feast

Recommended Posts

Ollie Celeste

Ollie + Normal = SYSTEM ERROR.

"Juan isn't a good student." Ollie piped up again because she didn't know when to quit.

Juan Garcia

After curfew. Juan looked over towards McGonagall, and immediately jumped up before pointing at @Ollie Celeste, "Forbidden Forest. Midnight."

And with that, Juan turned and also left the great hall because his puppeteer had to leave anyways ;-;

Juan Out.

Killian Dracel

Killian breathed a sigh of relief. Let the feast continue. "That's how it's done," he muttered.

Stella Peabody

Stella was honestly just relieved she was saved from an entire year of having to hear about Quidditch.  She didn't feel particularly fussed about the Triwizard Tournament either way, but as long as dueling wasn't cancelled, she was fine.

"Hi," she greeted all of the new Slytherins with a warm smile.  She wondered which would be her mentees.  The best ones, obviously.

"BRING. IT."

Ollie stormed out of the hall too, she had to prepare for smacking Juan down.

Addison Toft

"OI @Ollie Celeste, @Juan Garcia!" Addison barked, correctly pronouncing Juan's name now, "I HEARD THAT."

Looked like a patrol of the forest tonight would be in order.

"You didn't hear what you think you heard!" Killian called out to Addison.

Dax Gordon

Everyone was leaving? There was no more fighting? What was the point?

"You're all dumb." To everyone, especially to @Fletcher Barrow who he was super salty about. He had some moping to do at being betrayed by his best bro and the Great Hall was not the place for it.

Dax also out.

Ryan Alterton

Why did none of the professors ever stop the mania? Abandoning her food, Ryan gathered @Panda into her arms for a moment, hoping he'd be okay with her transporting him to a safer place--without flying spells and fists.

Alterton out.

Damaris Denton

"Don't be rude to Killian," Damaris snapped at an older Slytherin, before it seemed like the fighting was ready to die down and disperse. "What the hell was their problem." She grumbled, before remembering what Killian had said about McGonnagal and the last Wizarding War.

"I've not heard of it," she said quietly, blinking. Had they covered it in History of Magic? Because if they hadn't, she didn't know the first thing about it.

Professor Santiago

Mateo's arrival at Hogwarts was met with mixed feelings. The Argentinian wished he was out at sea instead of stuck inside a school, but he knew it was the right move for the moment. He needed the funds if he wanted to rebuild his ship.

But being a "figure of authority"? Mateo wasn't sure if he was ever going to get used to that.

He smiled and waved as the Headmistress (she didn't interview him) introduced him to the school. But his focus was quickly broken as he noticed a bit of commotion, including @Ollie Celestefinger gunning him. He was going to have to keep an eye out for her and the rest of the fourth years.

Zara Anguariz

At first Zara was not paying attention to the announcements. There was the usual new professors which were replacing the old ones that didn't bother to show up to half of their lessons. She was about to fall asleep when all of a sudden, there was an announcement about quidditch being cancelled for the second time in her young life.

Were they serious? What gave the adult figures in her life the authority to do this twice within in a three year period? Zara had been looking forward to playing keeper more often this year and winning the quidditch cup again.

What was this tri-wizards tournament they were talking about? It sounded a little bit interesting to her but not good enough to replace her beloved quidditch. Where was the food? Zara was going to drown her sorrows by eating plenty of it while pondering whether or not it would be a good idea to transfer to her mothers old school back in Mexico where they always held the quidditch cup.

Ethan Smith

Ethan was getting ready to think of where he should take the first years on their tour and wasn't paying attention to anything that was happening at the feast. He had a feeling that this year was going to be a lot busier than his other years at Hogwarts. Not just because he has a badge now, but with Quidditch being over and hearing about a tri-wizard tournament. It was something that caught his ears. It might be something he would sign up for.

At least he knew that the dueling tournament would still be around. That was one thing he didn't want to go away again. Working hard on new spells and getting stronger, he was ready to try and get a first place trophy this year. But he didn't know if that was something that could happen.

Was the feast over? Ethan didn't know, maybe he should have paid attention.

Shiloh Paige

Shiloh looked over at all of the new students with a face that probably projected that she was going to have some simple fun torturing at least one of them. Of course that was when she noticed @Stella Peabody 's face of relief about the whole Quidditch thing.

And although Shiloh never claimed to be some sort of prodigy she was, at least as far as she knew, still on the team and had been secretly itching to get back on a broom since the end of that last game versus Gryffindor.

Robin Bagley

It was Robin's second sorting, and yet again, she wasn't having a good time.

It had been bad enough last year, having to deal with the bloodcurdling embarassment of having a name like 'Quest' that was announced in front of everyone.  But this year, she'd been hoping it would be Michaela up there in front of everyone, name shouted out in front of the whole school.

Michaela might have been pretty upset when everyone found out that, while Robin's first name was technically Quest, hers was Moonchild-Utopia.  But at least Robin could have warned her about it, and comforted her afterwards.

She glowered at all those underserving first years, taking a spot that Michaela deserved, and bit aggressively into dessert, sending showers of pastry flakes all over the table.

Dinah Grimwood

Dinah quietly and uneventfully ate her dinner while keeping her head down at the Gryffindor Table. She privately thought to herself that some of the older students 3rd and 4th years were seriously disturbed. And also hopefully that wasn't a requirement of a magical education's curriculum...
