"I don't think you wrote them, but they had your name on," she side-eyed Eloise. She had heard ~things~

Eloise Beauchamp

Eloise glared at Tobias but did not quit. If she was the loser, she was not going to lose by much, plus, she was getting closer. "And I taught at Hogwarts, right?" She demanded, staring between Ollie and the most helpful ickle, Phoebe, demandingly.

"Books were definitely a thing," he said to Eloise. "Not the best books, though... no offense."

"Not many good ones. My Baba says the one about dragon taming is all rubbish."

"You stood in a classroom at Hogwarts and said words, certainly."

"WAS I RIGHT?"

Why was everyone more focused on helping Eloise :c

HA, no one had confirmed Tobias yet, so Eloise declared loudly, "GILDEROY LOCKHART!"

"I said mine first!" Toby said, glaring across at Eloise.

"From the bits I heard in the papers, teaching is a bit of a stretch. Mummy called it a disgrace. She said your person's talents 'lied elsewhere' and you're 'a showman not a teacher'."

Professor Grimsby

Grimsby, a little sour faced that he'd been beaten so quickly, slapped a few new cards on his victims' heads.

Apparently there was going to be a new round. Dane squinted at the cards and pursed his lips.

"Alright. Am I a female this time?" Eloise began, glaring at Grimsby when he smacked another card onto her forehead.

"Am I human?" Toby decided to stick with his winning formula.

Ollie resisted the urge to say 'yes' to Eloise.

"No."

As for Toby...

"Yes."

Dane thought about Eloise's question. Gender was such a complicated subject...

"Probably not?"  Thalia murmured.  "I don't think they've been asked?"

One could never assume

Curious. But she was going to waste no time in asking for more. "Did I write any books?"

"From what I understand, you are completely human. We don't want to forget about how not all of us are," he told Toby. "Don't forget about part-humans."

So he was a human this time. That made it a little harder because most of the people in the wizarding world were human or at least partly so.

"More human than Eloise and her cold, cold heart?" he asked, flashing his opponent a smile, before looking thoughtful as he wondered what question to ask yet. Asking gender seemed too easy. "Was I ever a student at Hogwarts?"
