    Deleted Clubs

Per the rules, clubs will be deleted after 6 months of inactivity. For IC clubs, you can find any posted content in the IC Club Archive Content from OOC clubs will be moved to a hidden OOC club archive and deleted after 1 year. If you need something from a deleted OOC club, please contact me or any moderator about it and we'll see if we can help you out. Please note that just because a club is deleted, it doesn't mean that a similar club cannot be attempted again. This is purely about activity.
  4. Character name: Jack Dare Your current group: 1st Year Club Name: Pals and Allies of Werewolves (P.A.W.) IC or OOC: IC Privacy option: Open Text for the Description field: Uniting werewolves with friends and allies, PAW is committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education, and advocacy. Describe the purpose of the club: The ic purpose is to let students sympathetic to the plight of their werewolf friends publicly show their support. The ooc purpose is to give another place/ situation for people to RP their feelings about werewolves, the current plot, and inclusivity in general. I expect the interest would be high now and more moderate once the present plot is over. If membership will be restricted, describe your prospective members: {in general, not details about each one} It would be open in character to anyone who expressed the desire to support werewolves and werewolf rights. I assume it would be of interest to current student werewolves and their friends. (And maybe an i.c. focal point for characters opposed to werewolves at Hogwarts too.) Do you have a co-leader (and who is it)? I don't but several people have already shown some interest in chat and I'm open to the idea. Aster Darling (1st year) has volunteered. If this is an IC club, who is your staff sponsor? Hmm. Well I happen to know Professor Foster is an ally ? but if that is too pathetic I can try to recruit someone else. Proposed structure: {Will you have forums, blogs, calendars, galleries? How many? What will you call them? This does not have to be set in stone. Just let us know what you're thinking.} I hadn't really thought too much about how the club forum feature could be used. I was thinking of the club mostly as a ic rallying point for RPs and not so much a hangout. I did want to try to solicit some original artwork that would look like it was done by club members so a gallery would be nice for that.

    Muggleborn Support Group Proposal

I am planning on doing some IC campaign stuff for students to be leaders. Buttons and posters for everyone! Thank you. :3

    Muggleborn Support Group Proposal

Thanks! I would encourage you to give students the opportunity to be involved in the IC leadership of your club. (I say IC because you can't designate leaders or moderators in a public club). This is approved. Go ahead and start your club (click "Start a Club" in the main club index). No one but you will be able to see it until I approve it (which I'll do as soon as I can).

    Muggleborn Support Group Proposal

Public! I was thinking "none" and "public" were the same since no restriction = public. Sorry about that!

    Muggleborn Support Group Proposal

Hi Miss Turner, The privacy options are public, open, closed or private. Could you please take a look at the club rules and clarify which you're planning on?
  9. NEW CLUB PROPOSAL If you haven't read the Club Rules, please go read them now before submitting this form. Character name: Miss Turner Your current group: Staff Club Name: Muggleborn Support Group IC or OOC: IC Privacy option: None Text for the Description field: Muggleborn Support Group is for muggleborn students looking to integrate into magical society with the help of those around them. The group is also open to non-muggleborn students who wish to welcome their muggleborn peers to Hogwarts, magical society, and beyond. Describe the purpose of the club: To help muggleborn students get their footing in the magical world. If membership will be restricted, describe your prospective members: The club is open to anyone who is a muggleborn or supports them. Do you have a co-leader (and who is it)? N/A If this is an IC club, who is your staff sponsor? Me (Miss Turner is muggleborn) Proposed structure: I was thinking forums and maybe an IC newspaper/blog type thing.

    Asian Student Association Proposal

Approved! Go ahead and set up your club by clicking the "Start a Club" button on the main Club page. FYI, it won't be visible to anyone but you until I approve it - which I'll do as soon as I get a chance.
  11. NEW CLUB PROPOSAL If you haven't read the Club Rules, please go read them now before submitting this form. Character name: Astraea Wang Your current group: First Year Club Name: Asian Student Association IC or OOC: IC Privacy option: Open Text for the Description field: The Asian Student Association (ASA) promotes the interests and awareness of Asian culture at Hogwarts while functioning as a means of social engagement. The events are geared towards bringing together the Asian community while sharing our culture with others. Describe the purpose of the club: We aim to promote the awareness of Asian culture at Hogwarts while encouraging a social environment for students of all backgrounds. Furthermore, the events are geared towards bringing together the Asian community while sharing our culture with others. Ideas for future events would be Food Fairs, Chinese New Year events, and providing a setting for characters to practice their native language(s). Do you have a co-leader (and who is it)? @Jerome Chan If this is an IC club, who is your staff sponsor? @Professor Qin Proposed structure: I was thinking just one OOC forum would be lovely - it'd allow for member(s) to plan events and such and then execute them in other parts of the school (Kitchens, Entrance Hall, Great Hall, Idk). A Base Camp of sorts for threads that will occur around the school :3

The Mini Magizoologists Club Application Form

@Weasley Hello Weasley! Thanks for the approval! Can I ask if I can offer HP as rewards? Or just rewards/incentive for participation in general. This is more of a general club question than a club-specific one.
  13. Weasley

    Baking Club Proposal

Approved. Though if you had a OOC forum for recipes: 1. I would certainly want to post there! But 2. I think it would edge this more into OOC Off Topic territory, which these spaces aren't meant for. Try to find a way to trade recipes IC? (Also, a recipe trading topic might be okay for the Off Topic section? But don't take my word for it. The VHOT mod would know better). Go ahead and click "Start a Club" and I'll approve your club as soon as I can.
  14. Weasley

    Hogwarts Wireless Network

Approved. Go ahead and click "Start a Club" and I'll approve your club as soon as I can.
  15. Approved. Since CoMC is a class students can't take til 3rd year, I'm okay with you limiting membership to 2nd years and up. I was thinking I might need to give Hogwarts staff some leeway on that rule anyhow. Go ahead and click "Start a Club" and I'll approve your club as soon as I can.
  16. Avery Potter

    Baking Club Proposal

NEW CLUB PROPOSAL If you haven't read the Club Rules, please go read them now before submitting this form. Character name: Avery Potter Your current group: Second Year Hufflepuff Club Name: Future Bakers IC or OOC: IC Privacy option: Open Text for the Description field: Future Bakers welcomes anyone with a passion for baking (and cooking). No cooking challenge is too large! Warning - all tasty treats must be eaten. Describe the purpose of the club: The goal is to allow everyone to come together and bake or cook to their hearts content. People can learn from stratch, experts can come along and show their wonderful treats. It's a place to share recipes, to cook tasty foods, and to make friends. (This club may also run alongside the Arts and Crafts club, in the terms of bake sales). If membership will be restricted, describe your prospective members: {in general, not details about each one} NA Do you have a co-leader (and who is it)? Not at the moment, will ask around. If this is an IC club, who is your staff sponsor? The lovely @Professor Quaylehas agreed to sponsor! Proposed structure: {Will you have forums, blogs, calendars, galleries? How many? What will you call them? This does not have to be set in stone. Just let us know what you're thinking.} I'm think just a forum is good for now. If people want to share recipes (OOCly) maybe somewhere to place them?
  17. Scout Matthews

    Hogwarts Wireless Network

NEW CLUB PROPOSAL If you haven't read the Club Rules, please go read them now before submitting this form. Character name: Scout Matthews Your current group: Third Year Hufflepuff Club Name: Hogwarts Wireless Network IC or OOC: IC Privacy Option: Public Text for the Description field: Headquarters of the Hogwarts Wireless Network -- The Voice of the Student Body. Describe the purpose of the club: Part entrepreneurial adventure, part experiment in fusing Muggle and Wizarding technology, the Hogwarts Wizarding Network is here to be the voice of the student body! With the expertise of the school's Muggle Studies professor at their side, these dedicated individuals lean how to operate as a business and produce a show for the local Wireless network. Using Muggle technology, they will learn the tricks of the trade, specializing in sound production, hosting, interviewing, and more! The club will feature a variety of shows ranging from club announcements, to broadcasting of House Cup Matches, tournaments, interviews, music, general news, and advertisements. The budget provided to the club will allow for the students to procure and retrofit muggle equipment for use in a magical setting, whilst providing them with the foundation of their business. The goal is to generate revenue to become a self-sufficient operation within the school through the selling of advertisement space to both denizens of Hogwarts and those that would cater to them (local shops, etc). It's means to an end, to prove one's self-worth and to show everyone they have what it takes to be the best of the best in a dog-eat-dog business world. Do you have a co-leader (and who is it)? Just me, myself, and I for the moment. If this is an IC club, who is your staff sponsor? @Professor Gawkrodger has graciously volunteered to sponsor this club. Proposed structure: The way I view the club, I picture it split up into two forums and one blog. The first forum would serve as the 'club room' where various activities are held, despite the room itself being split up into multiple station/sections for producing, technical support, et cetera. A second forum would act as a mail bag (Is it possible to make this function akin to the Vanishing Closet?). I'd like for students, staff, and shopkeepers and the like to be able to submit mail to the club for either reading out to everyone or to act as 'official correspondence' for inking deals with the club and stuff. The blog would serve as a bulletin board where club members can interact with everyone on a non-verbal basis, posting pictures, contests, advertisements and stuff where others can comment on it.

    Club Prompts

Potions Club: - Have a section for Potions, instructions and ingredients. The HP video game is a great source for this information. I had a lot of fun playing it, but I'm sure videos can be found on youtube with the entire process of making each potion. - Brew Potions in real time. This could be a really fun challenge, in which the brewer must post on a specific time-stamp (or within a time window) to add an ingredient successfully. If the brewer misses the time-stamp, there's some sort of penalty. And, there could be different potions levels. You have to complete the beginner ones in real time before moving on to the intermediate, etc. Just a thought for anyone who would like to use it.
  19. NEW CLUB PROPOSAL If you haven't read the Club Rules, please go read them now before submitting this form. Character name: Professor Qin Your current group: Professor Club Name: The Mini Magizoologists Club IC or OOC: IC Privacy option: Open Text for the Description field: The hub for magical creatures lovers. If you wish to get a peek into the life of a magizoologist, this is the place to start. Describe the purpose of the club: To provide a place for magical creature lovers to expand on the lore of Magical Creatures in the HP world, character development and fun! If membership will be restricted, describe your prospective members: {in general, not details about each one} - Do you have a co-leader (and who is it)? Not sure at the moment but this might change on a year to year basis? If this is an IC club, who is your staff sponsor? - Proposed structure: {Will you have forums, blogs, calendars, galleries? How many? What will you call them? This does not have to be set in stone. Just let us know what you're thinking.} I've been running an internship 'club' for the past few VH years and figured a club forum might make things easier to manage? Esentially, they are indepth RP threads about creatures. I also have expeditions, where participants respond to time-sensitive prompts about creatures. I intend to continue all of this AND to expand on the ways people can RP about creatures and 'earn' club credits. Concerns that I do have include rewards and age limits. Previously, I only open my programme to second years and above for canon reasons. But given how clubs are arranged here, this means my club will be open to first years too? Is there something I can do about this? I don't mind creating activities for just first years if that's required. Basically, I don't think I should expose first years to things like..dragons for example, lol. RE: Rewards. Previously I offer HP as rewards. Are there rules for that for clubs? Thanks!

    Wizard's Chess Club Proposal

Approved, pending a solution to the privacy issue we discussed (re google docs). Also, I assume it will be part of it, but I encourage putting some magic into the wizard's chess! Go ahead and click "Start a Club" in the main club area and set up your club. I'll approve it once everything is resolved.
  21. Weasley

    Arts and Crafts Club

Yay crafts! Approved. Go ahead and click "Start a Club" in the main club area and set up your club. I'll approve it as soon as I can.
  22. NEW CLUB PROPOSAL If you haven't read the Club Rules, please go read them now before submitting this form. Character name: Killian Dracel Your current group: Slytherin Fourth Year Club Name: Knights of the Square Table IC or OOC: IC Privacy option: Open Text for the Description field: Wizard’s Chess Club: where all students of varying skill can play against each other. Describe the purpose of the club: With Chess being a staple of the Harry Potter universe, this will be a place where people can learn how to play, and challenge each other to a game for bragging rights. If membership will be restricted, describe your prospective members: Not restricted Do you have a co-leader (and who is it)? Jaxon Sinclair If this is an IC club, who is your staff sponsor? Professor Fjord Proposed structure: {Will you have forums, blogs, calendars, galleries? How many? What will you call them? This does not have to be set in stone. Just let us know what you're thinking.} I imagine we will have three forums. One for strategies, learning documents and rules of the game. Another forum for complete, and archived games. And the third forum for games in progress. Each game can be completed with a handy spreadsheet like this. It easy for VHers to use. Every five moves in the game requires a 50-100 word post. It’s definitely based on the honor system, but the club is meant to be fun, so we’re not too picky on whether people adhere to this rule or not. If enough people sign up, we would love to have a tournament, or house champions (like there was in the HP video games). We will teach everyone how to make game notations and be available in discord to answer questions/research answers.
  23. Francis Barnes II

    Arts and Crafts Club

NEW CLUB PROPOSAL If you haven't read the Club Rules, please go read them now before submitting this form. Character name: Francis Barnes Your current group: Gryffindor Second Year Club Name: Arts and Crafts Club IC or OOC: IC Privacy option: Open Text for the Description field: The Arts and Crafts Club is a place for students (and staff) to explore their creativity! As such, this club has a very broad "everything goes" outlook on the arts. Knitting? Painting? Pastry arts? Sewing your own dress robes? Creating a banner to support your friends in their upcoming quidditch match? Or perhaps you're just looking for an excuse to set off fireworks? Who cares! Explore your aesthetic in the Arts and Crafts Club! Describe the purpose of the club: The goal of this club is to act as a space for students (and staff) to explore their creativity! This of course extends to traditional arts and crafts, such as painting, knitting, photography, etc... but ultimately the club seeks to explore, celebrate, and encourage all expressions of beauty and positivity. This means you can rely on club members to support your bake sales, model your dress robes, and lend a hand on big projects even if they ultimately boil down to "this banner is 20 feet long and I don't know what I'm doing with my life SAVE ME." While the Arts and Crafts Club is going to need a reasonable budget to operate, the members hope to run somewhat independently through craft fairs and bake sales. Do you have a co-leader (and who is it)? @Avery Potter and @Gustav Selwyn If this is an IC club, who is your staff sponsor? @Professor Corelli-Rose has volunteered as tribute Proposed structure: I think having a forum for planning and gallery (because ARTS AND CRAFTS) is a good starting place for now, but I've never done this before and am open to suggestions if there's a better way to make this club function and flourish!
  24. Weasley

    Santiago Society

Approved! Go ahead and click "Start a Club" in the main Club space. Once you've set that up, I'll approve it as soon as I can.
