On September 2, 2041, Chance Carter, high profile business man and magnanimous benefactor, was reported missing by his wife of 20 years, Bahh Carter. Two months later, on November 11, privately funded search parties discovered his remains a few kilometers outside of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. His cause of death has not been released.

Chance was born on August 4, 1994 in Ludlow, Shropshire. He graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he excelled in Slytherin house. Shortly after graduation, he was granted ownership of Carter Services, a four generation business that has helped many witches and wizards through difficult times.

A man with a huge heart, Chance generously donated to many charities and causes throughout his life, and provided educational assistance at Hogwarts for a short time. When news broke of his son, Eadric Carter's association with the Death Eaters in 2037, it was Chance who stood by magical laws and assisted with his capture. Sources close to Carter say he was "notably devastated" upon Eadric's sentence to Azkaban, and "possibly blamed himself, but tried to remain strong."

Chance is preceded in death by his father, Frederick, and his mother, Isabella. He is survived by his wife, Bahh, his seven children, Isabella, Magnus, Jackson, Eadric, Connor, Murphy, and Thea, and two grandchildren, Cygnus and Carina Malfoy.

No funeral services will be held at this time, as the Carter family has chosen to mourn privately.

Noah Defferman, an assistant of Chance's for many years, reported that the Carter Services office building burst into flames in early October, and unfortunately nothing within was salvageable. Authorities are considering foul play and will be investigating this case as well as reports of serious Dementor activity surrounding the man's location at the time of his death.
