Chudley Cannons fans were celebrating on Friday night after winning their first match of the season -- in a charity Christmas match against Pride of Portree.
"Well, 'tis the season," said Pride of Portree Chaser, Megan Martin. "After so many losses, you start to feel sorry for them."
Pride of Portree, who fielded most of their under-17 youth team whilst the majority of their first string team were spotted drinking eggnog and mulled wine in the Leaky Cauldron in London, are not too bothered by the loss. The Chudley Cannons are currently ranked second-to-last in the world after the beleaguered French national team.
Cannons fans are making the most of their time to celebrate and are campaigning for December 23 to be made a public holiday.
Fans of both teams raised 3412 galleons, 13 sickles and 2 knuts for The Society for the Reformation of Hags. Founded by Honoria Nutcombe, the society is dedicated to helping steer hags towards a more civilised life in the wizarding world.
