Hufflepuff Musical Chairs

Recommended Posts

Ceris Powell

Skipping merrily, Ceris hummed along to the music as she circled the chairs. She wasn’t particularly good at most sports or games, but she really wanted to try this time! It wasn’t like she was going to be the best ever, but it would be really cool if she ended up winning!

except the prize really confused her, so maybe she could pawn that off on someone else. She hadn’t decided yet, but she was fairly certain those dolls were too scary for her.

With just a few more skips,
Ceris
felt herself getting tired when the music stopped. Frozen, she took a second to react before she finally threw her bottom in a chair. With a deep sigh of relief, she smiled joyously to herself when she realized she made it again!

At this point, everything Jack did was with the intention of getting on Ethan's last nerve and she was succeeding. The threat that he would get her out of the game was as empty as her book bag on a school day, and she knew he wasn't going to do anything about it. Jack had free reign to do whatever she wanted; he couldn't hex her, too many witnesses.

And so with the music coming to an end, Jack pushed past the other players and laid across as many chairs as possible, staring up at the prefect.

"FIGHT ME, SMITH."

She knew he wouldn't.

Julie's heart started beating faster and faster as the game progressed. She tried to pay as much attention as possible so she'd be ready when the music stopped. Anyway, she couldn't help getting distracted by Jack and Ethan, and she hoped that Jack would be banned. The music stopped and Julie threw herself on a chair without much thinking, she was so eager to find out if Jack would be banned or not. In Julie's opinion, Jack would totally deserve it. She was distracting the other players by knocking over many chairs and Julie thought she should have been banned a long time ago. But Julie was happy, she'd made it again despite all the distractions.

Phew, that last round had been close! Harlow gave a small apologetic wave to @Henry Sanders-Banagher, who she had robbed of the last available seat. It had been difficult with Jack flipping chairs over, however not as difficult as she had imagined musical chairs in the magical world would be like. There were yet to be any of the flying, running or jumping chairs she'd envisioned. Though, she wondered if Ethan could secure the chairs so that they'd stay upright for the sake of her roommate, who was, still kicking chairs over.  Furby obsessed people were an interesting bunch- but who was she to judge? She knew she would do the same for a couple of pretty highlighters or sticky notes.

Seeing Jack lying across the chairs, she carefully sat down on the corner of one, careful not to squash her roommate.

He wanted to hex her right there, but he just couldn’t at this moment in time. He had to be good, he was sure thenothers we’re getting annoyed with Jack and Ethan. This is just what happened when the two of them were together.

When she aaid to fight him, he couldn’t. So he just put on the best  old school songs, just for Jack.

Jack just didn't know what was going to be waiting for her later on today. Right now he just needed to stop the music and watch them all try to find a seat.

At this point, it wasn't a matter of time before Ethan would get back at Jack for making this game experience frustratingly difficult. It was a matter of what was Ethan going to do to her once the game was down to one person, the loser left crying, and she was the only player left standing (or in this case sitting).

She knew she'd only experienced half of the spells in the prefect's arsenal and if their latest duel was any indication there were worse spells she had yet to be hit with. Jack, however, knew it was worth it if she could expose Ethan for what he really was: a pretty boy bully with a chinchilla on his face.

So when the music came to an end, Jack jumped onto the chairs again.

A lot of drama was happening between the second year and the prefect, but Ceris failed to pay attention to any of that. If anything, she was too in the zone to really try and pay attention to anything else. Plus, she was trying too hard to keep her brother from invading the game and doing something really crazy.

But that girl must have really wanted the prize. If Ceri won, she decided in that moment that she would give the prize away just so the girl could calm down without burning down the castle somehow. This game was supposed to be fun and not murderous at all!!!!! If anything, they were all supposed to hold hands and become best friends!

Maybe that's what she should have done. Thus, when Ceris threw herself into a chair when the music stopped, she grabbed the second year's hand and gave it a squeeze. "Don't worry @Jacqueline Frost, if I win, I'll give it to you."

With a big smile, she grinned at the girl before she let go of Jack's hand.

Julie was in the final four. She never thought she'd make it this far. She still didn't think she could win, but at least she did quite well. And so, as the music stopped, she wasted no time throwing herself onto the nearest chair she could find. And she couldn't believe it, she'd made it again. Now she was only against Jack and Ceris. She heard Ceris telling Jack that if she won she'd give the prize to her, and that made Julie wish that if Julie couldn't win, Ceris would. She seemed very nice. But the fact that Jack would still get the furby annoyed her.

There was four people left, and than there was three. Looking at the finally three that were left. There was Jack, that was standing on her chair and then there was Ceris who said if she won that she would give Jack the furby. And Julie who didn't say a lot of things in this game. But Ethan was just going to keep an eye on everything, and hold back from hexing Jack. Only because there were more people.

"The final three, who is going to win it all." He said, as he started to play another classic hit.

No one was saying anything as they walked around, which was interesting. He was sure that Jack would have said something to Ethan about something, but he wasn't going to worry about that, he stopped the music and waited to see what was going to happen.

Jack had a new strategy, to make Ethan think she was going to play nice for a change and then when he didn't expect it, she was going to attack. By now, it was given that Ethan was going to hex her and she'd accepted it, just like she accepted that she was going to win this.

There was no doubt in Jacqueline's mind that she was going to be the ultimate champion of this disney-fied version of the Hunger Games.

Jack didn't play to lose, she played to win.

And right now she was so close to victory she could taste it.

"MOVE!" Jack pushed past the remaining players, flopping onto the nearest chair. "FURBY NOW!"

As Julie walked around the two remaining chairs, she decided that she'd do everything she could to win. She wanted to show Jack that she couldn't always get what she wanted. And as the music stopped, she jumped onto the other chair. She felt a bit bad for Ceris, but now she was only against Jack in the final two. She felt like she could jump up and down and scream for joy. She was so close to winning! And now she felt more and more confident that she could win. Jack would really deserve to loose once in her life.
