Brownie Chair Surprise

Recommended Posts

London Yates

It wasn’t out of the ordinary for London to stay at the castle for the holiday break of course, however normally the Yates Family didn’t celebrate the holidays, or any special occasion really...  So in another’s eyes, this could be a cry for help if anything.

Walking up the spiral staircase with a plated brownie in his hands London Gabe a mischievious smile as he ran his plan through his head one last time.

”brownie, check.  Headmaster’s Office, check.  Headmaster’s Chair, check.”

Walking into the Headmaster’s Office, which couldn’t be a trap as ty was wide open, London pealed inside before hand to make sure @Headmaster Gawkrodger Wasn’t there to ruin the surprise.

Placing the plate onto the man’s chair as he quickly looked to the entrance as another was standing there, London let out a rather high pitched scream in fright.

One word: Curiosity.

She longed for freedom. She longed to do whatever she wanted to do simply because she wanted to. To act on a selfish impulse. She wanted to see what it was like.

There was no other reason or rhyme for the Hufflepuff's presence at the entrance of Headmaster Gawkrodger's office. It was just another stop in her unsupervised tour of Hogwarts.  She didn't know exactly what she had walked in on, but she could recognize the Ravenclaw boy easily... they had gone to school together for ages. London Yates, her year mate. "That was quite... girly." she noted after a few seconds of silence.

It didn’t take long for London to figure out that the figure in the doorway wasn’t that of the Headmaster, but instead the one of his yearmates.

”Yeah, well...  You scared me....  And... YOUR FACE!”

Solid burn.

”Besides, it’s a great prank!”

Um. Rude.

She was already insecure enough about her face, thank-you-very-much... although she wouldn't call it frightening, more like plain. Sloan scrunched her nose at his excuse but attempted to look over the desk regardless. So what if she was being nosy? Perhaps London deserved to be caught for whatever it was he was doing... what was he doing?

"That hardly looks like a prank... it's too obvious." she critiqued, even thought she wasn't quite sure if the prank was more elaborate than just a brownie on a plate.

Maybe he had gone to far with his burn, but lifting an eyebrow to the girl as she spoke of his not so great prank, London scowled to the other.

”Oh?  So then tell me what’s better prank than putting a brownie on a plat on a chair?”

Did he need an attitude?  No, buuuut this was London after all.

London Yates could be considered attractive by some... but his attitude left Sloan feeling a bit violent, like she wanted to punt his kneecaps for being such a cad.  She rolled her eyes and quickly answered, "Anything. Literally anything would be better..." she trailed off, her lips pursing as she attempted to come up with something much more clever than the Ravenclaw's plan. She navigated her way inside the office cautiously, she treaded lightly as if she were in a spy movie of sorts.

"What about gathering some howling hair pins and scattering them about?" she thought aloud, although it would be tricky to get ahold of those, seeing as they were banned... but such things seemed trivial for motivated students. "A portable swamp? Those are pretty classic..." she came to a stop at Gawkrodger's desk and waited for a response.
