Kermit Princeley

What goes up must come down

Carried on from here

Kermit has no idea how he ended up in the hospital wing. The last thing he remembered was trying to practice extreme skating with Rosie after their muggle studies class. He had a skateboard, he had about to go, and then nothing until someone had deposited him onto a chair in the hospital wing.

His head was splitting. Where was someone who can help him? Where was Rosie? Kermit hoped that she was okay. Until then he closed his eyes and wondered if he could get some sleep before someone started to prod at him, and were able to fix his very painful leg.

Gwendoline was attempting to remain on her best behaviour when dealing with patients. The key word here: attempting. Merlin knew her mother would be filled to the brim with wrath if she let her down on this. Healer or not, her mother had high expectations for her that were much better placed on the shoulders of her cousin.

Movement towards the front of the Wing caught her attention, nose wrinkling as she approached the newest addition to their patient pool.

"Alright you, come sit on this bed," she attempted to remain calm, approaching him to see if he could walk any further. "I need to know your name, your house, all of the boring information so I know you aren't going to kick the bucket on the Wing floor," her tone remained cold, never budging.

“I don’t think I can move.” Kermit replied to her, as he pressed a finger to his leg and yelped. This was not going to end well if they got his mother involved. Would they keep this to patient healer confidentially? He wasn’t actually dead so there was no need for him to reach that point if she found out what activity he had been involved in.

“…name is Kit…” he said through pained breathes. “…badger…”

Was he about to kick it? It was a possibility. He had no idea how he got to the darn medical wing in the first place, though believed it involved Rosie and a skateboard.

So, there Aurora was, sitting in her office, sipping on her tea when the little bell in her office chimed, signalling that there was a new patient in the wing -- a new patient that Gwen would be more than happy to take on. And if it was too serious, then the girl knew what to do.

Despite Aurora's hands-off approach for the day, the student's file still appeared on her desk. Kermit Princeley. Well, it wasn't a name that crossed her desk before, but she flipped through it anyway. It wasn't a long file by any means, and she was finished in just a few minutes. A few minutes and she was itching to get up and check on her assistant.

Her assistant. Not the patient. Well.... both. She wanted to check on both. Was that so wrong?

Of course she mentally slapped herself when the thought hit her. Sighing, she took to her feet and came up alongside Gwen. "Mister Princeley," she greeted the boy, and looked to her assistant. "Gwen, have you taken stock of his injuries yet?"

also apologies for my delay <3

"You don't look too good..." she commented, observing the angle his leg seemed to fall in, the discolouration she could sort of see near his wrist, and the blood at his head from some kind of trauma or force. It seemed a little too complex for what she was used to--quickly she looked around for her cousin, for any sign of someone who was more experienced.

Help came, but not in the form she had expected.

"I think he's got a broken leg," she frowned, squatting to take a look at it, "and reckon he's done something to his wrist, and his head is bleeding, a bit of a nasty gash if you ask me," she wrinkled her nose.

He didn’t look too good?

If Kermit was a mean person he would have rolled his eyes at the obvious statement. Instead, Kermit was a calm person normally, and just snorted. This caused a sharp pain across his body which only stopped when he took a deep breath.

“It was’t meee…” He said in gasps. “Is twas th’ ska’boar.”

Translation – it was the skateboard. The one with the broken wheels which he had gotten in muggle studies. So if anyone was to blame for his injuries it was his professor. Who obviously forced him and Rosie to go on their rollerblading and skateboarding adventure. He couldn’t add anymore as he sat there in a sorry state felling extra sorry for himself.

Having six children meant one thing -- the healer had become an expert in understanding slurred and choppy speech.

"So, the skateboard has a mind if its own, you say?" Aurora raised an eyebrow as the boy tried to place blame on an inanimate object. Skateboards were a terrible invention, one that her own children had used every so often during their childhood. Perhaps she should investigate, though. The skateboard could have been cursed at some point in time and the poor lad was just a victim of it.

She quickly waved her wand over his leg, not at all surprised to find that it was broken. She numbed it, and made it immobile. "That should feel a little better." She moved on to inspect Kermit's eyes and frowned. "Any dizziness? Nausea?" She glanced at Gwen. "Healing potion, soothing cloths and concuss drops."
