Payton was bored. He had run out of things to do, he had read a ton of books and yet now he wanted to do something funner. He went to Diagon Alley in search of something meaninful to do. He walked down the streets looking for somebody he knew. He found nobody.

Payton found a bench, he knew that if he sat there nothing would happen. So he passes right by it. Then it began to rain. 'Wonderful, just my luck' Payton said. He hung his head and let himself get soaked through and through. He looked Depressed and Insanely bored. Who would come to his rescue...

Des was running through the rain, trying not to get too soaked. Raindrops thudded on her face. She suddenly stopped as she saw someone on a bench, right under the rain.

"Payton?" She asked. He was soaked, and didn't appear to be moving. "Are you alright?"

Payton looked up, and saw nobody. Probably because his blonde hair was covering his eyesight. He swept his hair aside revealing his stunning blue eyes. It was a girl he knew by the name of Des.

"No..not really." Payton answered sadly.

Destiny ran around Diagon Alley wildly. It wasn't the rain that scared her, or the dark skies. It was the fact that there might be lightning. She scanned the skies desperatly hoping there wouldn't be any. Suddenly she saw a flash and screamed. She got a flashback.

Lightning. Grandfather.Outside. couldn't save him....

She closed her eyes and let tears come through. if i just shouted a little louder... she thought. More tears. She ran blindly for shelter when suddenly she ran into some people. She looked up.

"Oh, i'm so sorry i wasn't looking where i was going." she muttered sheepishly. She noticed it was Payton and Des. She flushed. she was glad the rain was hiding her tears.

Payton sat there still not knowing what to say yet again. He was so depressed. "Erm..Hey Destiny." Payton said lifting his head again, he then let it drop again hiding his blue eyes while his hair covered them yet again.

Destiny put on a smile. It turned out to be a kind of a grimace, but he seemed too ... depressed? to notice. She autimatically felt sad for him, and forgot her own troubles for the moment.

"Hey Des, Payton." then she looked at Payton."Umm, are you okay? Need some fries?" she glanced around at the skies nervously hoping they didn't notice.

Payton thought about it, and he was hungry. But then again when wasent he? He got up and asked. "Wanna join me?" His hair still covering his eyes, he looked dark and emo'ish.

Destiny glanced at the skies again. It would be a relief to get indoors. She wondered what was wrong with Payton. He looked different.

"Sure, lets just hurry, we're gonna catch colds if we stay out any longer."

"I don't care if i die.." Payton said very silently just as a lightning streak passed by. 'Hope they didnt hear me' Payton thought. He took Destiny's hand and Des's and pulled them to the Fry Place.

Destiny stiffled a scream as she saw lightning.Then she gasped. She heard Payton mutter something about death. She abruptly stopped.

"What did you just say?" she put her hands on her hips and her eyes flashed.

"Umm, nothing..it must've been the lightning." Payton said trying to cover his blunder. He hoped his mood would change soon. He hated being depressed, if only sombody could help him.

Destiny's eyes still flashed dangerously. The icy blue in them made her look deadly. She brushed her wet hair out of her face and sighed trying to calm down.

she looked at him. "Are you missing Selene?" she tried jokingly.

Then she held her arms out. "Do you need a hug?" she grinned.

Payton ignored the Selene comment, he didnt want to think about her..not now. He swept his hair away and met his deep blue eyes with her ice one matching the deadliness. He tought about the hug. He took Destiny's hand and pulled her in for a hug a really tight hug. Payton let go bearly and looked into her eyes again.

Destiny hugged him back hoping he would get better. Then she looked in his blue eyes. damn hes hot....no wait...hes Selene's.... she shook the thought out of her head as she stiffled another scream.

Suddenly Payton was attracted to Destiny once again. 'Oh no..What am I doing??' Payton thought to himself as he felt Destiny stir under his hug. "Are you okay?" He asked looking caringly into her beautiful icy blue eyes.

Destiny shivered. She didn't want to tell anyone about that day...not yet.

"Yeah, i'm fine..." She forced a smile.

"Lets go get some fries."

Payton nodded and held Destiny protectively. He could feel her fear, he did not know of what but he wanted her to feel as safe as possible.

Destiny stared into his deep blue eyes with her own icy blue ones. She felt so safe in her arms.

Do i love him more than a friend now? No....I can't...Selene's my best friend and i don't want to lose her over a guy....

She battled with herself while glancing around nervously.

Payton went underneath a tree trying to get out of the rain as soon as possible. He didnt know what to do or where to go. He didnt know where the fries were sold. "So are you feeling any better?" He asked concerned for her.

Destiny bit her lip. They were under a tree. A tree. Lightning struck trees didn't it?

"Yeah...i'm fine now. The fries place is that bookstore over there." She pointed. "Lets go there and get out of the rain." she glanced around nervously again. Suddenly lighting struck near the tree. This time she couldn't stiffle her scream. She let out a bloodcurdling one.

Payton turned around as he heard a bloodcurling scream. A tree branch was no burned, dark as charcoal. "Bloody hell that was a close one. Are you okay? Let's get out of here." Payton said in a hurry taking her hand again.

Destiny's eyes widened. She let Payton lead her away. Her brain was frozen. She was getting more flash backs.

grandfather. lightning. couldnt save....

Tears spilled out of her eyes. She let the rain hit her face os it would disguise her tears.

Payton and Destiny had finally made it to the door and safely inside the bookshop that sold fries. Payton looked at Destiny's face only to see that she looked sad, if it wasent for the rain she would have tear drops in her face. "Are you sure your okay?" Payton asked one more time in hopes of comforting her.

Selene walked in the building Paytona and Destiny. She saw her two friends as drenched as she was. "Hey, you guys alright?" She asked a little concerned. "You don't look alright." She walked up to them.

Destiny wiped her face and put on another smile. "Yeah...i'm fine now."

She looked around.They were insided. Thankfully. Then she remembered why she had flashed her eyes at Payton. Now that they were inside she could think clearly.

"Now, what were you saying before about....death?" she put her hands on her hips again.

"Huh?" Payton said preteding not to know what Destiny was talking about. He could tell it was a touchy subject. "..Do you want some fries?" Payton smiled pleadingly.

Her eyes flashed dangerously again but then she sighed and they returned to their normal icy blue. She decided to bother him about it later.

"Yea...fries sound good. With gravy too, i heard its supposed to be even better that way."

"No-way! That sound revolting!" Payton said glad to leave that subject behind them. "So Selene what brings you here?" He asked.

Selene smiled at Payton and hugged him. "The rain." She looked up at him. "Your to tall." Selene grinned.

Destiny sighed and got fries for them all. She sat back down and gazed out the window. i will not keep getting flashbacks...it wasn't even my fault.....yes it was...no it wasn't....yes it was....

She gazed out the window and kept the battle inside her head going.

Payton couldnt let the feeling that something wasent right. Selene looked happy all around and Destiny looked disturbed. "Destiny you sure your alright?"

Destiny bit into her fry absentmindly. She kept fighting with herself when she thought she heard a voice. She snapped out of it.

"Hmm? sorry...could you repeat that? "

"God! Do we need to take you to a hospital??" Payton asked getting up and picking Destiny up potatoe sack style. "Come on Selene..Where's the hospital at?"

Selene put her hands up in the air. "Don;t ask me." Selene said wide eyed.

Destiny screamed. "AHHHH PUT ME DOWN" she pretended to whine. " I DO NOT NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL" she grinned and pushed herself off him.

Payton didnt let go of Destiny. This was too funny. He could feel her struggling around.

Destiny grinned. She started tickling him. If that didn't make him let go, she didn't know what would. Then she looked at Selene.

"What are you doing just standing there? DO SOMETHING" she cried. Then she started laughing.

Payton was being tickled. He laughed but kept it under control. "Your not getting out of this!!" Payton said laughing.

Destiny grinned. "HA you wish." She kicked and squirmed but couldn't get out of it. She sighed. "fine. You win...this time. " She narrowed her eyes and then burst out laughing.

Payton walked outside with his potatoe sack. The rain had died down and apperantly so had Destiny. She started laughing. 'she has a great laugh' Payton thought. He then fell down laughing. Not dropping Destiny.

Destiny screamed while laughing as Payton aparntly laughed so hard he fell. She braced herself for the ground but thankfully that never happened. She looked up into his deep blue eyes and saw that he had not let her fall to the ground.

She grinned. "Wow, i was actually scared there. "

Payton laughed "I would never hurt you." Payton said that seriously and kindly.

Destiny gazed into his eyes. "Thanks..." she said softly.

She was just about to kiss him when she remembered that he was dating Selene.

oh no...what am i doing? She'll hate me forever...but hes so...no...i cant... she struggled with herself while still gazing into those eyes.

Payton could feel his face leaning into hers. Nothing was going through his mind. He had no care in the world.

Destiny felt herself relax as she saw his face leaning in. She gave him a short kiss, full of innocence. It felt so right. Then she pulled away and looked in his eyes with her icy blue eyes.

"Wha....what just happened..?" she managed to stammer out never breaking her gaze.

Payton kissed Destiny lightly.

"Wha....what just happened..? She had said.

"I..I...I like you.." Payton managed to say. what was wrong with him?

Destiny's eyes widened. She smiled sadly.

"I like you too...but i don't want to lose my friendship with Selene..." she looked down breaking eye contact at last.

Payton's worries all came back at once. "I'm so sorry!" Payton said coming back to reality. "I..I wasent thinking." He said looking into her eyes one more time. "Im really sorry.." He started to leave.

Destiny just sat there smiling sadly. "I understand..." she said. She looked away.

"But.." Payton started to say. He just couldnt do anything. Was he a bad guy now?
