Jarek Foxx
"Moomee I need to go wee wee!" Jarek's four year old sister had done nothing but complain the whole time they had been shopping for his school supplies. If she hadn't needed to use the bathroom she had been hungry or tired, anything that she thought would take the attention away from Jarek buying his school supplies and back onto her as it normally is.

"Seriously mum, couldn't we have just left her at home?" Jarek asked, "This is supposed to be exciting for me and she's ruining it." Jarek flashed a frustrated look at her little sister who seemed oblivious to the fact that the world didn't evolve around her.

"No Jarek, you know full well that your fathers at work and I couldn't leave a four and six year old home alone and your not old enough to go shopping alone." Jarek looked back at his little brother Axel who was walking a few paces behind his family with his head down jumping from cobble to cobble without stepping in the cracks. His mother sighed, "Okay what have you still got to buy."

"Robes and a wand." He replied, consulting his supply list in a grump. He so was old enough to go to Diagon Alley alone, he had visited the street many times growing up and knew it well.

"Okay well take these galleons and get what's left on the list, I'll take these two to the toilets but make sure you make your way straight back to the Leaky Cauldron as soon as your finished, don't be any longer than half an hour!"

Suddenly Jarek's mood improved, "Thanks" he said, taking the galleons from his mother. And he was finally alone, free to explore and possibly make a friend or two in preparation for his departure to Hogwarts in two weeks. He walked in the opposite direction to his family, and was almost at the wand shop when Quidditch Quality Supplies caught his attention. Jarek loved Quidditch and found himself spending more galleons on Quidditch memorabilia than on new clothes.

He counted the galleons his mother had given him to buy the rest of his supplies and there was definitely enough there to buy a Quidditch magazine on the sly and as for time, his mother had allocated him half an hour, that was more than enough time to get what he needed. Jarek went to push the door open at the exact same time as another person, "Sorry after you" He said, following them into the warm shop. "So your a fan of Quidditch as well?" He asked, sparking up a conversation with the person who looked about his age who had arrived in the shop at the same time as him.
Helena Crystal
Yes! Leena had actually been asked to go and buy supplies for the whole of her Father's quidditch team while he was away. This was just so unfair and Leena felt like punching a wall (of course she didn't because that would just be a little weird). Helena Crystal's Father Mathew was the Manager and Owner of the English National quidditch team and he was on tour with them at the moment. As his daughter, some how it was now her duty to go and buy some gloves and the latest firebolt, the Firebolt X for her father. Great!

As she went to open the door to the shop, Leena bumped into someone who too was opening the shop door. The boy was about the same age as her and he stepped back letting her lead the way into the shop with a polite smile.

"Thank you," she smiled back and entered the shop, feeling happy that someone had actually been a gentle man to her, a lot more than she could expect of some people she knew.

"Yes," she replied to the boy's question, "I absolutely adore quidditch. Who doesn't?" she laughed and then held out her hand, "My name is Helena Crystal, but people call me Leena. And you are?" she asked and knew that if the boy was a fan of quidditch, he would recognise the last name Crystal and ask about her Father.
Jarek Foxx
It was an obvious question to ask, of course the girl was going to be a fan of Quidditch otherwise she wouldn't come into the shop but it was a successful conversation starter. "Good, I love Quidditch me, I would buy a broom right now but my mum hasn't given me enough money so a magazine is going to have to do." He said, " I'm Jarek Foxx. People mostly call me Jarek, nice to meet you Leena." He said, moving further into the shop in the direction of the magazine stand.

He couldn't help but think how familiar the surname Crystal was. He assumed it was familiar because of the Crystal Fountain at PHP until he glanced at the cover of the latest copy of a Quidditch magazine. The headline read: Exclusive: Interview with Matthew Crystal. Then it clicked, "Hey your not related to Matthew Crystal by any chance are you?" He asked. "Because THAT would be cool." Cool it certainly would be, Leena would be able to introduce Jarek to the man which would be a great advantage for his future ambitions to play Quidditch at a professional level.
Elsabeth Hayes
Elsabeth walked down the roads of Diagon Alley, getting some last minute shopping done for the school year. While being pushed from people who were obviously in a rush, Elsabeth tried to uncrumble her shopping list to see what was left. Just then, a very rude person pushed Elsabeth so hard she fell to the ground in front of a shop. Elsabeth called out to the crowd "Excuse me, I'm trying to get things done too!!" hoping the person would hear her. When Elsabeth finally managed to get herself back up, a Quidditch magazine caught her attention in the window. Elsabeth reached in her pocket and found a few galleons, enough for the rest of her shopping trip.

Elsabeth walked through the door and walked straight towards the magazine. When she walked up to the counter she overheard someone saw Matthew Crystal's name. She wiped her head around, and saw that it was two people talking. "Matthew Crystal?" Elsabeth straightened her back. "Do you by any chance know him? I'm a huge fan." Elsabeth asked.
Helena Crystal
Jarek. She nodded her head. If this boy was a fan of quidditch then she was going to have to remember this because they were definitely going to be friends in the near future, if not now.

Leena looked down at her feet and then back up again, a little embarrassed but feeling good about the fact someone had actually cottoned on to the fact that her father was a big quidditch celebrity and people would know about him. He was special to Leena but she wanted people to get to know her for her and not just to get to her Father.

Just as Leena was about to answer, another girl joined the conversation and Leena found herself blushing although she didn't know why. With a little nervous giggle, she answered their questions, "Yes," she spoke, "He is my Dad. You know about him?"
Jarek Foxx
"He's your dad!" Jarek almost shouted in excitement that he had to consciously lower his voice for the next thing he said, "That's the coolest thing, like, ever. Do you think he'll come watch Quidditch at Hogwarts and scout out players for England?" Jarek asked, picking up the magazine which contained an exclusive interview with the girls father. "I want to play for the school team, I mean I probably won't get it this year because I'm not that good right now, but maybe in the future!" Jarek wouldn't be friends with Leena because her father was a celebrity but it would be a contributing factor to befriending her quicker.

It was then that Jarek noticed that another girl had joined them. He found that most of the people he saw were girls and hoped there would be more boys once he got to Hogwarts. "Another fan! I'm Jarek" He said, introducing himself to her, "What's your name?"

Elsabeth Hayes
"Yes," she spoke, "He is my Dad. You know about him?" The girl said. "Yes I know about him! I've read about him in some of these magazines." Elsabeth looked down at the cover of the quidditch magazine she was holding, then looked back up when the boy started talking. "Another fan! I'm Jarek" He said, introducing himself to her, "What's your name?" He asked Elsabeth. "I'm Elsabeth, but you may call me Elsie." Elsabeth smiled. Elsabeth went back to what Jarek had said about wanting to get on the school team. "Yeah, after a lot of practice you could get in." Elsabeth pictured an image in her head where she zoomed across the field, trying to catch the ball. "I'd love to get in, too. But I just really stink at it." Elsabeth giggled. "It's true though, I can't even fly on a broom that well!"
Helena Crystal
Leena listened as the two children went on about how much they loved quidditch and how much they loved her Dad. She had to remind herself that they had never actually met him so there was no way that they could actually love him. Oh well, Leena had seen how people got about celebrities and they went a little crazy. Yes, she was not going to make a fool of herself by saying that she didn't feel like that, even though she didn't.

"Yeah," she smiled and then went on in her explanation voice which was rather serious but it made sure that she got her point across, "I think my dad will be scouting at some point this year but he usually waits until they finish and start to pursue him."

"I want to get into the team," she grinned, knowing that she probably would because, even though she was young, she was rather good.
Jarek Foxx
“I’m sure you aren’t that bad” Jarek reassured the girl when really he had no idea. He had only just met her before today and definitely had never seen her fly a broom, for all he knew she could really stink. “And anyway Hogwarts teach you how to fly, I can’t wait myself.” Jarek said, “I’m so excited to go to Hogwarts! You are both being sorted in September right?” It was obvious that the two girls were off to Hogwarts since they had all been talking about hoping to play on the house teams but Jarek felt it necessary to check. “Which house do you want? I want to know if I’m looking at future teammates or rivals on the Quidditch pitch!” He joked, his eye catching a Firebolt X which was displayed in the shop. If only he had the galleons to purchase it then he would.
Elsabeth Hayes
Elsabeth giggled. Of course they were going to Hogwarts. "I'd love to get into Gryffindor. But I come from a long line of Slytherins, so that'll work too." Elsabeth thought about her dad, who wanted Elsabeth to get into Slytherin or else she'll disappoint the whole family. Elsabeth's gut really went for Gryffindor, though. "I guess they could teach me how to actually fly it correctly." Elsabeth giggled a little. Elsabeth then turned to Leena and said "Well of course you'll probably get onto the team! Look at your dad! He's a national team player. You've probably carried on what he had. Or still has." Elsabeth corrected herself.

"I'd still be cheering for you even if you're not in the house I get into. You'll be amazing." Elsabeth smiled at Leena.
Helena Crystal
"Yeah," she smiled to Jarek and then added with a smile when the girl was finsihed, "We are kind of the same but opposite! My family are a line of Gryffindors and I am desperate to be a Slytherin. It would make me feel as if I am my own person. You know? Like I have a place and that I am not just like all of the rest of my huge family. I bet you feel the same too? Don't you?"

She turned to Jarek, "Which house do you want to be in?"

"Thanks Elsabeth," Leena beamed at the very kind girl and then turned to the shop assistant.

"Please could I have twelve Firebolt X brooms for my Father," she smiled and the assistant nodded their heads and talked for a few moments about her Father. Everyone knew Leena in there. Wow, she hoped that the two people she had met were as rich as her because if they were not, she betted that they would hate her by now!
Kitty Swornson
Kitty was walking around in Diagon alley when she heard giggling. She smiled. She noticed two girls she definitely knew. And a guy she hasn't met. Her eyes shifted to the two girls. "ELSIE? LENIE? You both are here? Oh this is so awesome." she giggled herself. She looked at Elsie and Lenie and her thoughts were this They are getting along YES they are getting along. HOW WONDERFUL. She grinned from ear to ear.

Then to the boy she smiled. "Er my name is Kitty and you are?" Her blue eyes shined with mischief and a smirk formed on her face. She didn't know the conversation they were speaking before then. "So how is everyone doing? Mother is around somewhere." she said talking to both Lenie and Eslie. Then watched as her friend ordered twelve firebolts.
