Felix usually loved the summer break between each year at Hogwarts. Sure there was that little rule where they couldn't cast magic and all and that was certainly uncool, but he had gotten by his first eleven years without that anyways. His parents did all the magic he wanted done anyways and there were always magical toys, prank stuff, etc that kept him entertained. Felix was under the impression that he also had friends but perhaps he didn't since plans seemed to fall through so far.

Oscar was just as lazy Felix was so that was understandable. He was still confident that his bro had his back still. There was Addison but the Caine's were still not impressed with Felix as of lately, or of his family. So that brought along awkwardness. Then there was Adora who had said she was off visiting Germany for the summer. Perhaps that was alright as well since things were a little awkward as well there. It seemed like his life was all full of awkwardness now, he did not approve.

With the lack of seeing people, Felix was still mildly amused. His parents were up to their usual get rich by scamming muggle schemes, ones that Felix often tagged along with. It sorta inspired him. Who cared about OWLS and NEWTS, when he could make a living this way? Though of course, he made the stupid mistake today of mentioning that to his father. Who was not pleased. He seemed to be under the impression that Felix needed to make an honest living. So he shoved some galleons into his hands with strict instructions on buying books. So naturally, he was heading on off to the Quidditch store. Since Felix was totally going to be a pro Quidditch player one day.

As he strolled through Diagon Alley, passing familiar faces of classmates here and there, something stood out to him. Could it be? Was he seeing things correctly? No. It couldn't be. She was supposed to be out of the country. Though as his eyes landed on who she was with, that one Ravenclaw girl, Felix realized that Adora was not in Germany and had been lying to him. Felix huffed. Part of him wanted to scowl but really, he guessed he couldn't blame her. Maybe Felix was growing up as well, since he quickly gotten over it. In fact....he wanted to mess with her and it was the perfect opportunity as well, since she couldn't use her wand.

Felix strode forward purposefully and trying to contain his crazy grin. This would be fun. He nearly cackled as he stopped in front of the blonde. "HOW COULD YOU!" He said. "You... you lied to me! I knew it! I knew you hated me!" Felix cried out dramatically. He looked at her with the saddest eyes he could muster and held the pose for about 30 seconds before bursting out laughing. "I'm just kidding. That was just awful... but I HAD TO DO IT." Finally he could snicker a little. He was ridiculous.

Even though her father had once again cancelled the family holiday to Germany, Adora was having an unusually good summer. She'd been camping with Dani, and although the girl's older sister had been there they'd both had great fun tormenting her, she'd met up with a couple of people on several different occasions and now she was out shopping in Diagon Alley with her best friend. There were other things planned too, Aaron's birthday party was approaching and she'd been thinking about sending an owl to Gus to see whether he wanted to meet up too.

Felix had asked her to hang out with him as well. However, seeing Felix hadn't sounded like one of the most appealing things to do and instead she'd told him she'd be in Germany for the entire holiday. She didn't consider what she'd done to be a bad thing, especially when she and the other Slytherin had only just resolved their differences. She just felt like seeing him would be an awkward experience for them both, that was all. That and the fact that she still held a grudge against him for the events of last year had prevented her from forgiving him whole-heartedly when he'd tried to re-build their friendship. She wanted it - of course she wanted it - but being let down wasn't something the blonde had a tolerance for. Felix would have to earn her trust again first.

Consequently, Adora knew she just needed to avoid the boy all summer so he wouldn't question her response to him. She didn't think it'd be too hard; surely they wouldn't both end up visiting some sort of 'interesting' museum or shopping in Diagon Alley on the same day? It seemed unlikely, so the blonde felt at ease walking down the alley with her company. They were having a great time, peering into shop windows or buying new books, merchandise and the like. That was, until the familiar voice of one Felix Bickle caught Adora's ears and the blonde turned around to see the boy storming over to her.

"Oh, you're such a clever one, detective," Adora drawled as Felix stood in a strange-looking pose that could only spell embarrassment for the ridiculous boy. "You've only just worked it out even though I've made it plainly obvious that I still have a problem with you?" she didn't hate him per se, she just didn't want to be around him when she knew people who didn't make her feel awkward and uneasy. And when the other Slytherin started to laugh and told Adora he was kidding, Adora was reminded of exactly why she'd told the lie in the first place.

And responded by giving the boy the hardest slap she could. "What the hell? Why do you think it's okay to go around pretending everything is okay again? Because it's not, Felix. I don't do forgiving and forgetting," she sighed. "Part of me wants to make you hurt more than I've ever hurt anyone before but the other part is telling me to let it go. And letting things go is foreign to me, you should know that."

Felix was going to laugh even more when she seemed to be irritated by his little act. It was the least that she deserved for lying to him and all. He guessed he could understand not hanging out with him but Felix was a simple kind of guy, all she had to do was say she didn't want to. Didn't she realized how lazy that he was? He would have shrugged and gone back to opening the 15th chocolate frog of the day and eating it. So he felt like he had every right to mess with her.

The smile quickly dropped from his face and he found himself stumbling as a hand smacked him hard against his face. He felt confident in the fact that she couldn't hex him, but he hadn't expected her to resort to physical harm. His hand rose to the now throbbing cheek and he could feel the sting in his eyes as they watered up a bit. Felix... he just could not comprehend how to even handle this. This... this was not what he expected to happen. Maybe it was silly to hope that she'd roll her eyes and perhaps laugh it off, but was that even necessary? Had he really been that awful to warrant such a response from her?

He just couldn't handle this. "What the hell?" Felix repeated calmly. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" This time not so calm. "Was that even necessary?!" It hurt. QQ "Normal people don't go around and do stuff like that!" Felix didn't like being slapped clearly. "That is... just wrong. I don't even know what I did to make you want to be as horrible as that." Sure he wasn't the best person but wanting to hurt him? Not cool.

"Wahhh Felix was a clingy boyfriend and was really lazy and dumb. That's your problem for sticking with me before then. If you hated it so much, you could have stopped." He ranted. Felix had been fine before he met her. It was her issue if she was annoyed with dragging him to class yet kept doing it. She didn't have to be his girlfriend either. This clearly wasn't Felix's part, except for being dumb in general. But it could've been avoided by her as well. This all made him wonder if it was really worth it. Had she even liked him before? Friendship with her had been iffy. Sure Felix had someone to annoy and all but perhaps she never really liked him and that wasn't a friendship he'd want.

The Slytherin wanted to laugh hysterically immediately after her palm made contact with Felix's cheek, leaving behind a rather red mark and causing his eyes to start watering. Hang on. Was... was Felix crying? Adora thought it was probably a trick of the light, or his eyes were just extra watery compared to their usual state; of all the things she'd imagined would possibly be Felix's upcoming response, crying had not been one of them. And part of the blonde wanted to tell him she was sorry and that she had no reason for hitting him like that. But she did - she had reasons perhaps Felix hadn't made himself aware of yet and she knew that if things were ever going to get better between them, which she was now seriously beginning to doubt, the boy would have to be made aware of what he'd done.

And she knew she needed Felix to tell her what she'd done, too, but Adora wasn't one to take criticisms and didn't think she wanted to face that. Not now - not in public.

"Shut the hell up," Adora spat at the other Slytherin as he started to rant. Perhaps he was right in thinking that the German's slap had not been necessary but, naturally, Adora wasn't willing to see that. As far as she was concerned, Felix was in the wrong. She'd had some part to play in things but it was mostly Felix who'd made the pair act like they were acting now. "There's nothing wrong with me, and to be honest with you I think even normal people can go around doing things like that when the person they're faced with is stupid and deserves it."

H... he didn't know what he'd done? She should have stopped hanging around with him before if she hated him so much? Oh, God. "Felix, you know I didn't hate it. We both do. You were one of the best things that happened to me at Hogwarts and I'm not afraid to admit it, but when you're being an idiot like this you make me wonder whether you're one of the worst things that's happened to me instead," she sighed. "Stop being a bloody idiot and I'll stop being harsh, but seriously, you can't expect me to just forget about everything and go on as if nothing ever happened - " she paused.

" - and as much as I'd like to take everything I did back I can't. Stop making things worse."
