Just wondering at what point the deatheater plot would be at as students return to school. I'm starting a few rps and didn't want to get it wrong. Would the missing students be back?

It is currently Term Two, Week One. Therefore, ICly, the kidnapped students have returned to Hogwarts and left again for Christmas break. Everyone else has also left for Christmas break, Christmas and New Year has passed and the students have just returned to Hogwarts for the new term. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Would the normal students be 'forced' to leave Hogwarts for the holidays, or could they have chosen to stay, maybe waiting for the kidnapped to return? And, do you know approximately when the students were allowed to leave the common room they had been forbidden to leave? The same day or...?
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I just like to be thorough. This post has been edited by Kai Fireblader: Jun 27 2012, 12:16 PM |

The kidnapped students were only gone for two days, so they returned to Hogwarts before the start of the break. And then people left for the break.
Students weren't allowed to leave the commonroom until the morning after the attack, at which point they all likely went down to breakfast. They still wouldn't have been allowed outside until the end of term though. No one would have been forced to leave for Christmas, although don't you think it's more likely that parents and guardians were desperate to have their children with them...? Great answers!
Yeah, I do think they would. But it's good to know they could have stayed if their parents/guardians let them or were muggles as is the case with Kai. Thank you for clearing things up! |
